Bill O’Reilly and Ann Coulter Support Obama’s Olympic Trip

While the rest of Fox News is bashing President Obama for his trip to Denmark to lobby for Chicago to win the right to host the 2016 Olympics, Bill O’Reilly and Ann Coulter both said on O’Reilly’s FNC show that the trip is no big deal. O’Reilly said, “It is not a big deal. He can work on Air Force One coming and going and they got everything else.”

O’Reilly said, “If I were President Obama, I’d go too. I think the Olympics in Chicago would be a good thing. He is popular over in Europe, can’t hurt. Oprah’s over there. Just Oprah being there, I’d go.” Coulter added, “I must say this is not at the top of my list of concerns about Obama.” She then half heartedly went through the argument against Obama going.

Bill-O wrapped it up by saying, “It’s not a big deal, and he can work on Air Force One coming and going, and they got phones, and they got everything else.”Wow, how crazy have things gotten on the right when Ann Coulter and Bill O’Reilly are the voices of reason? The president will be on the ground in Denmark for 4 hours.

Obama’s trip to lobby on behalf of Chicago, if successful, will create jobs unlike the four days that George W. Bush spent in China watching the last summer Olympics. The right’s double standard when it comes to president’s being on the job is jaw dropping.

They frequently made the argument that George W. Bush’s vacations were working vacations, but when Obama takes a few hours to campaign for something that would be beneficial, they are outraged. This another example of Republicans latching on to anything to slam Obama with.
