An Obviously High Rush Limbaugh Offers to Be Obama’s Father

On his radio show today Rush Limbaugh had a heart to heart talk with Obama where offered to guide Obama and be the father that he never had. Limbaugh said, “Let me be the father that you never had or never really knew, because I think you need some guidance.”

Here is the audio courtesy of Media Matters:

Limbaugh said, “I penned a message to Obama that I would like to deliver now, because Mr. Obama I think it’s time we had a heart to heart talk. Let me be the father that you never had or never really knew, because I think you need some guidance. It’s time to man up. It’s time to grow up. That speech last night was an embarrassment. You couldn’t focus. You lashed out in all directions. You refused to accept responsibility for your own actions, and you were angry, and he was, folks he was mad. Being president is a big job. It’s a big responsibility. You wanted the position, Barack. You campaigned for it. You told the public to trust you with it, and they elected you, and you’re now president of the greatest country mankind has ever known, and yet you act like this was all coming to you, like you deserve it, that you are better than the people you are supposed to serve, and that you have no tolerance for debate or dissent.”

What address was Limbaugh watching last night? He overlooked all of the reaching out that the president did, just so that he could label Obama the angry, unqualified, elitist, black man. Did it ever occur to Limbaugh that his message came off like an old angry white guy who was trying to put a black man in his place.

It is laughable that Limbaugh, a man who has never had the guts to run for anything thinks that he is qualified to lecture the president. We should play this rant of Limbaugh’s in schools all around America to demonstrate to children the dangers of long term drug abuse, because Rush’s mind is fried.

His message to Obama was more like a bad Saturday Night Live skit that airs after midnight than serious message to president. I am sure that President Obama would rather have no father over a drugged out sleaze ball who left the reality the rest of us know long ago.

  1. why Rush struggles so with his weight; it’s the overabundance of self-pitying white privilege he keeps stuffed inside.

Has Rush heard of the psychological term “projection”? Because that is clearly what he was doing here. Rush is the person who never worked for what he had, who has no education, who has been busted for drugs, who can’t stay married, who makes millions off of his entitlement and ability to act like an ass.

But even someone as strung out as Rush knows the end of his run is closely approaching. And he’s sure like to be remembered as someone important, so he clutches on to a great man’s coattails like a spoiled child, begging to be noticed.

Shooo, Rush. Thanks, but no thanks. We’re all stocked up on angry fat white men.

  2. Where does Rush get off sounding off as the ‘father Obama never had’?

Unless I’m mistaken, Rush has thankfully never reproduced, so does that make his silly little lecture to Obama ‘the child he never had’?

Given his many divorces and other personal problems, I rather doubt that Obama or anyone else wants Rush practicing up on his family skills using themselves as his guinea pig for practice.

Maybe Rush should start out with an office plant that he can talk to; plants are supposed to flourish when talked to regularly.

Or a bag of flour, or an egg, like the projects that they use to teach parenting to kids in middle school…….

  3. There is no way that he watched the address. He used all of his stock Obama attacks. He probably just saw Obama’s criticism of the Supreme Court decision on Fox News and ran with it.

  4. The comments were written ahead of time. He probably didn’t even watch the speech either, just read up on it briefly after the fact. These comments reflect what Rush believed Obama would say and his response to that, not to the actual speech.

  5. Astounding in its hallucinatory ignorance and forgetfulness, particularly of the “with us or against us” Bush/Cheney years.

  6. of mashed-up jackass, but when he attacked President Obama for leading the way for aid in the wake of the horrendous Haitian earthquake, it removed all doubt.

  7. Thank God someone like Rush is willing to take this job on, it is absolute truth to someone, Barak, a man boy, who needs it so badly! and I am sure his mother would agree! May he accept it in the right spirit and see the error of his ways, and do what it takes to makes the proper corrections to return our country to greatness – the land of freedom our forefathers fought for.!

  8. Oh, poor Obama the once-and-still married father of two who is better educated, more successful and far better liked than Rush…and not recovering from a drug addiction that led him into illegal behavior. And of course, Obama is more fit and better looking than the Humpty Dumpty Look-alike Rush.

Rush, the all drama no substance ‘entertainer’ seems to be the one who needs the life-coach father substitute for advice.

  9. Rush is a complete hypocrite who will say anything to hold his ditto heads no matter how wrong it may be, no matter how many he will harm due to his hate, both genuine and faked. If only his listeners knew how he laughs at them behind closed doors…

  11. little, fat, unhappy, unloved man. He has a small audience of dittohead followers, (small when compared to the total adult population of the USA). He keeps that group of followers not by being wise, or smart, or accurate, or correct, but by telling them what they want to hear.

Just this week, David Gergen, currently director of the Harvard John F Kennedy School for Government Center for Public Leadership, and advisor to 4 – count them, 4!!!! presidents (Nixon, Ford, Reagan – the president most conservatives regard as a political ‘saint’ – and Clinton) in assessing the abilities of President Obama described Obama as “one of the most talented people we have ever seen in the office”.

Gergen with his background and experience would know, better than most people.

So, in comparison, your assessment is ludicrous.
