Sarah Palin’s New Twitter Moment

Mama Grizzly Winks at Reality

Sarah Palin has had another of those “I didn’t say that!” moments. Twitter seems to be the woman’s worst enemy. It’s ironic really, that she is the star of a reality show but reality is not a friend to her. She seems to be saying to reality (shrieking really), “Reality, you’re not the boss of me!”

You go grrrrl.

There must be a lot of fluff in the rarified air she breaths.

Atlah Church Sign

Her Tweet? It was actually a re-tweet of an Ann Coulter Tweet, which showed a photo of a church sign which reads:

“Blood of Jesus Against Obama/History made 4 Nov 2008, a Taliban Muslim illegally elected president USA Hussein”

Ann Coulter had Tweeted: “This is my new church!”

Ms. Reality Star re-tweeted it as one of her favorites. Gawker has a screen-capture, because of course you can’t see it anymore; Palin, in a rare moment of an intersection with reality said ‘Ooop!” and took it down and then denied any independent recollection of the incident.

By the way, the church is that of Pastor James David Manning, who ”once held a trial declaring Obama ineligible to be president because he says he wasn’t born in the US and who refers to him as a “pimp” and “long-legged mack daddy” in sermons.”

Palin threw an unknown staffer under the bus. She told ABC News:

“Jake, I’ve never purposefully ‘favorited’ any Tweet. I had to go back to my BlackBerry to even see if such a function was possible. I was traveling to Alaska that day…it was an obvious accidental ‘favoriting,’ but no one can mistake that Ann Coulter was obviously being tongue in cheek with that Tweet. Shall I correct this with whichever wonderful media outlet ran with this (an obviously bored reporter…since there must be nothing going on in the world today, like, um, ramifications of a shake up of power in the U.S. House of Representatives?).”

I think she is right on one score, that of her increasing irrelevancy to the American political scene. Her candidates lost. Ms. King Maker Mama Grizzly Reality Star Politician Wannabe will have a difficult time remaining at center stage. A showdown will come between Wall Street Republicans and Tea Party Republicans. They have already been throwing dirt at each other and either Rove or Palin will remain standing. The GOP cannot go both ways and it does not seem there is any happy middle ground for two groups who insist on ideological purity.

I will leave you with this thought: Sarah Palin is out there, and reality is out there, and sometimes, the two actually intersect.

We live in interesting times.

  1. ‘dr” Manning is known for his pretend trials of Obama which he thought a real court would recognize, so it sounds like Palin is finally picking the right kind of friends for her to play pretend President with.

    Dr Manning’s “Indictment” alleges:

    1. Columbia Univ. and Obama conspired to defraud and commit wire fraud and mail fraud

    2. Columbia Univ. knowingly concealed the fact that Obama is NOT a natural born citizen

    3. Columbia Univ. aided in obstructing justice

    4. Obama fraudulently obtained office of the POTUS gaining access to sensitive materials, posing a danger to national security.

    5. The prosecution dropped the charges of treason and espionage to avoid complications with a death sentence.

Dr. Manning stated that the charges of treason and espionage were dropped due to the fact that if the jury found Obama guilty, they may recommend the death penalty. Manning said he does not believe in capital punishment and therefore recommended to the prosecution that those charges be dropped.
Controversy ensued outside the building when a few Harlem residents protested the fact that ‘birthers’ were in their community. They accused the gathering of being ‘racist’ although it was being held in a Black church and planned, organized, and implemented by a Black Harlem pastor.

In other words, Palin is a birther. Again. Also, too.

I noticed that she tweet-leted this favorite asap, but of course, technology caught up with herself again. Poor thing.

  2. But she’ll show reality, and technology, Sarah! You betcha! And yeah, she knows how to pick friends. I mean it’s no accident that she picked Angle and O’Donnell, two of the craziest Republicans out there.

  3. And CNN is saying she is not known as a birther, has not made comments like that in the past – but this is not true. She went on national TV and said she thinks we need to see Obama’s birth certificate, we have the right to ask “those questions”. The only time we are not allowed to ask questions is if they are of her.

  4. No, she didn’t retweet it, it was only a favorite, bringing another made up story as proof doesn’t make it so.

  5. Whether she “favorited” or “re-tweeted” this garbage, it obviously reflects her thinking. Palin’s hatred of this president has been painfully obvious, since she and McCain lost in 2008. Because her inflated ego has also given her a sense of entitlement, she feels he is where she should be. Along with being a bona fide egomaniac, she is also a sore loser. I don’t think she has ever gotten over losing the Miss Alaska title to a black woman in 1984, or even worse, losing a chance at the presidency to a black man in 2008. She is vindictive, petty, and small-minded, which goes a long way toward her blatant disrespect for our president. She has repeated this same crap many times since the 2008 campaign, and back then the Secret Services specifically blamed her for the resulting threats on Obama’s life.

  6. You really begin to wonder what kind of mentality it takes to retweet this. I know it was a political gaffe, but it definitely wasn’t a mistake. She meant to retweet it, clearly. Really makes you start to question what other ideas she may have.

  7. Her candidates lost.

Really? You need to check your facts, I think. Of the 40-ish candidates she endorsed, something like 27 were elected. I’d take those odds in Vegas.
