Transcript of Hannity and Zimmerman:

HANNITY: You know, look at what happened in this case because it became so public. Spike Lee is tweeting out what he thinks is your home address, the Reverend Al Sharpton and NBC News tries to use this case to bring up the issue of racial profiling.

What do you say to Spike Lee? Didn’t know the facts of the case, they hadn’t been revealed, what do you say to Al Sharpton and those who rushed to judgment? What do you think their motives were?

ZIMMERMAN: I can’t guess what their motives are. I would just ask for an apology. I mean, if I did something that was wrong, I would apologize.

MSNBC fired back with a statement,

“MSNBC would like to set the record straight following some misinformation presented by Fox News during the interview with George Zimmerman last night. Reverend Al Sharpton never “rushed to judgment,” as stated by Mr. Hannity. Reverend Sharpton repeatedly called for calm and for a more thorough investigation in the wake of the tragic events. Ultimately, the authorities agreed an arrest was warranted.”

What many people don’t realize is that many of the questions asked on Fox News are based on misinformation. In Hannity’s case, the questions themselves were misinformation. In the Zimmerman interview alone, Hannity brought up the Black Panthers, Spike Lee, Al Sharpton, and said that African-Americans in general had rushed to judgement.

Of course he didn’t have any actual facts, but that didn’t stop Hannity from claiming that NBC had an agenda, and so did other news outlets who brought up racial profiling. (Mind you, this Sean Hannity we are talking about. Every word that comes out of his mouth is spoken with the purpose of advancing an agenda.)

Equally as outrageous as George Zimmerman’s request that African-Americans apologize to him, was Sean Hannity’s misinformation and presumption that all African-Americans are out to get Zimmerman.

Hannity and Zimmerman were using each other. Zimmerman was trying to contaminate the jury pool, and Sean Hannity was trying to play up racial division by casting George Zimmerman as an unfair target of African-American rage.

Fox News and Hannity get away with this type of misinformation on a nightly basis. It was nice to see MSNBC call him out for once on being the serial propagandist that he is.

  1. In the above statement, you erroneously referred to Hannity as “Mr.”. It’s “Ms.” And even THAT is giving him too much respect.

  2. “I mean, if I did something that was wrong, I would apologize. ”

    We’re waiting, George.

Apparently, when a black teenager is shot, Hannity et al expect no one to be arrested. If anyone who is black dares to speak up, well, Hannity will blame the entire community for their audacity (free speech is for white conservatives) — but he’s not prejudiced./s

  3. There are very few men I wish to catheterize with a glass stirring rod and then slowly squinch the whole apparatus with a bench vice, but Sean Hannity is one.

  4. Here’s a few apologies for Zimmerman:
Sorry, you and Hannity are clueless sociopaths.
Sorry you didn’t manage to flee the country.
Sorry you had to be in the same room with Sean Hannity.

  5. Hannity is a racist bigot of the worst sort… I’ve run into him before. He’s one of the people whose language about the Jena 6 situation earned Faux the “Deliberate deception” and “Overt Racism” codes when I was analyzing the reporting and language use regarding what happened.

He said things that were just the opposite of testimony, court documents, eyewitness reports, and so on – back then.

    He hasn’t changed… a racist bigot.

  6. Zimmerman’s ass should have stayed in jail and now it should be hauled back to jail. What he’s doing should be illegal if it’s not.

    Freaking bully whiner.

  7. Zimmerman and Hannity are ucken fidiots! Faux News is a great example of Right Wing Trailer Trash gone wild and Buggs Bunny and Elmer Fud carry more “street cred” then these two wastes of human skin ever would in my mind.

  8. Yeah. That’s how we got Scott here in Florida, even though some of the papers were raising hell about the fraud committed by his corporation (and from which he directly profited).

That’s what I’m afraid of… that there are enough of them to win.

  9. “Trailer Trash”

(CRINGE) I’d like to see that term taken from the language. By definition, my wife and I would be called “Trailer Trash” because we live in a mobile home and are poor. I have a very good friend who was called that to her face as she grew up, a single mother who put herself through school and graduated with honors (in spite of people trying to force her to drop out because she was “Trailer Trash”), went to graduate school, and at the last report, has a MA, working, and is happily married.

The people who come close to the stereotype that I’ve known all had given up on life, because they couldn’t keep pushing against the walls any more. They also got tired of people knocking them down every time they nearly got on their feet.

  10. Since when is there an order to paying respect? Ms is not as respectful as Mr?
Let’s find a different way to call Hannety out for what he is…..

  11. This is all a diversion and totally ridiculous. FACT: Mr. Zimmerman murdered a young man. Justice needs to be applied equally under law. We know that often money, bias, semantics and spin influences this, not to mention the unethical behaviors of all involved from lawyers to courts and juries.

  12. Quote from Zimmerman “I mean if I did something wrong I would apologize”

Dear God….the man shot an unarmed teen after he pursued him even when the police told him not to. How much more wrong can that be.

Hannity is once again enticing a psychopath to be even more so and encouraging others to go out and do this sort of thing as well. After all it will get them an interview with the great Sean Hannity. This sickens me to the very core of my stomach.

Anyone who watches this lying show and all the others of Fox (I will not add news because it has nothing to do with reporting the news) are just as bad as the slime that is on there. But then people like them and Rupert Murdock only care about making money. SAD little people all of them!

  13. Sean Hannity and George Zimmerman are cut from the same worthless cloth, which is why those two creeps found each other. So many of Zimmerman’s defenders try to deny the obvious, which is that George Zimmerman profiled Trayvon Martin precisely BECAUSE he was black. Then, they deny reality by trying to pretend that only black people are appalled and angered by George Zimmerman’s criminal act. Rational, thinking, and humane people of all races see this exactly for what it is–a senseless killing prompted by a combination of drugs, racism, anger, and hubris in a self-appointed neighborhood watcher.

  14. I agree with you. I not only hope folks stop calling others these names but also stop referring to themselves in this way. Everyone deserves to be treated with human dignity and respect, whether you live in a mobile home, a tenement, a condo, or a mansion.

Please keep striving for the life you dream of and don’t let anyone tell you you are deserving of anything less.
