Speaking to Chris Wallace of Fox News, Ann Romney compared the end of the 2012 Presidential campaign to serving in their church, “And now all of a sudden, you’re released and you’re nobody. And we’re used to that.”
Mitt and Ann Romney gave their first post-election interview to guess who? Fox News! Shocking, right? It will air on “Fox News Sunday” at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Watch here:
Chris Wallace painted a bleak picture of life after a campaign loss, “In a flash, it was all gone.” He didn’t stop there. Wallace drove the knife in, “Secret Service, the crowds, the intensity, the minute by minute schedule and suddenly — nothing. How tough is that?”
Ann Romney said it wasn’t tough because it was just like serving in their church. It was an “adjustment”, she said. Mrs. Romney explained, “In our church, we’re used to serving and you know, you can be in a very high position, but you recognize you’re serving. And now all of a sudden, you’re released and you’re nobody. And we’re used to that. It’s like we came and stepped forward to serve. And you know, the other part of it was an amazing thing, and it was really quite a lot of energy and a lot of passion and a lot of — a lot of people around us and all of a sudden, it was nothing….
But the good news is, fortunately we like each other.”
“You’re released and you’re nobody” to “all of the sudden it was nothing…” Whereas Mitt Romney compared his wife’s version of “stepping forward to serve” to a roller coaster ride and he seems to be glad he’s off.
If Mitt Romney thinks the campaign was a roller coaster, he ought to try leading the Republican crisis-addicted House to water. Happy sequester day.
