American Traitors Sean Hannity and the Koch Brothers Back a Seditious Movement

Patience, or longsuffering, is the state of enduring difficult circumstances which can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without acting on annoyance or anger in a negative way. Parents, like vicious wild animals, demonstrate patience in dealing with their impetuous and defiant young in the hope they eventually outgrow their offensive behavior and develop into respectful adults due to their parents longsuffering. For twenty years the federal government has exhibited patience few parents or wild beasts possess in dealing with Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy who defiantly stopped paying the government fees for allowing his cattle to graze on taxpayer land. Whether it is a mental defect unique to 1870s Mormon settlers, severe schizophrenia, or belief he is a law unto himself and hates being an American, Bundy’s primary problem is thatI don’t recognize the United States Government as even existing.” However, militia members who recognize the government exists rushed armed and dangerous to impede federal agents in the performance of their duties with the sole purpose of inciting a rebellion against the United States government.

Bundy realized the United States government does exist when, after three court rulings ordering him to remove his trespassing cattle from land Bundy claims the government is forbidden to own, the Interior Department followed through on court orders to seize and evict Bundy’s cattle from government property. The result was a call to arms and incitement to armed conflict against the United States government militias claimed was the start of the 2nd American revolution; it was also sedition. In the past it was questionable whether or not assassination threats against President Obama, Republican calls for revolution, or Republican states threatening federal agents with arrest for enforcing legally passed laws was sedition, but in this instance, it is indisputable that armed militias , Bundy, and to a lesser extent the Koch brothers’ Americans for Prosperity, Fox News’ Sean Hannity, and some Republicans are guilty of sedition among a rash of other violations.

According to 18 U.S. Code § 2384, seditious conspiracy occurs “If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States; they shall each be fined or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.” It is also likely that the militias who rushed to provide “armed response” against the United States government agents are guilty of treason that is “the crime of betraying one’s country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government. In fact, 18 U.S. Code § 2381 defines treason as “whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000.”

Bundy’s militia supporters told the press they fully intended to use their weapons to, among other things, incite other traitorous rebels to revolution against the United States, as well use the threat of armed violence to impede federal agents doing their jobs; they were successful. It is a violation of 18 U.S. Code § 115 that forbids “influencing, impeding, or retaliating violence against a federal official, or law enforcement officer while engaged in the performance of official duties.” One militia member said militias rushed to Nevada to provide an “armed response” to federal agents performing their official duties because “we need guns to protect ourselves from the tyrannical government.” Another militia organization published on several right-wing websites that “we have made the decision to mobilize to Nevada” and explicitly stated the “purpose of mobilizing was to spark a deadly conflict” and added that “All men are mortal, most pass simply because it is their time, a few however are blessed with the opportunity to chose (SIC) their time in performance of duty.” It is beyond question that the militias travelling to force federal agents to halt the performance of their duty was an act of sedition simply because their stated goal was starting a revolution against the United States government regardless Bundy does not recognize it as legal.

Bundy himself has been in contempt of court since 1998 that, according to the law, allows federal courts to “punish by fine or imprisonment, or both” because he willfully “disobeyed or resisted its lawful writ, process, order, rule, decree, or command.” Bundy also demanded that the local sheriff immediately disarm all National Park Service employees and deliver their confiscated firearms directly to him. As an aside, so-called patriots claim President Obama is attempting to confiscate their firearms with non-existent gun safety measures, but it is different when a white criminal who does not recognize the United States government even exists demands that local law enforcement confiscates federal officers’ firearms. Bundy’s little militia army are, besides guilty of sedition and treason, also guilty of transporting “firearms knowing or having reason to know or intending that the same will be used unlawfully in furtherance of a civil disorder.” It is unquestionable that militias rushed to “spark a deadly conflict” that is the ultimate “civil disorder” when they transported their guns to confront federal agents with violence while in the performance of their lawful government duties.

Bundy is as guilty of sedition as much as armed militias, and Americans for Prosperity, Sean Hannity, and conservative rabble rousers are guilty of inciting so-called patriots to conspire to armed conflict against this government. Bundy said, “I haven’t called no militia, but hey it looks like that’s where we’re at. We got a strong army here, we have to fight.” Earlier, Bundy warned the Las Vegas Sun that “he keeps firearms at his ranch and promised to do whatever it takes to defend his cattle being seized; I abide by almost zero federal laws.” On Saturday, Nevada Republican Michele Fiore said, “I’m seeing a lot of passionate Americans willing to stand up for important rights,” but those purported important rights do not include threatening to ignite a revolt against the United States government.  That was the primary goal of armed militias heeding the call to help Bundy “do whatever it takes to defend his cattle being seized,” and they broke a rash of federal laws in the process that they must be brought to justice for; particularly threatening armed insurrection against the government of the United States.

Right-wing militias, Oath Keepers, teabaggers, so-called patriots, gun fanatics, and Republicans have called for armed rebellion against the government ever since Americans elected an African American as President. This incident provided them with the impetus to marshal armed resistance against the government with the stated goal of starting their vaunted 2nd revolutionary war to overthrow the legally elected government. Although there were no shots fired, Department of Interior officials were influenced by the threat of violence and concern for human life that prevented a certain escalation of hostilities. It was only BLM officials continued longsuffering that kept the coming rebellion against the government at bay for the time being. However, it is an affront to law-abiding Americans that Bundy, Hannity, the Kochs’ belief tank, Republicans, and militias advanced the very real threat of armed violence against the United States government to aid Bundy defy this nation with impunity. No American should be deluded that the seditious traitors’ lust to initiate a war against the people (who are the United States government) is over; in fact the threat is greater than ever. It is time for the federal government to intervene on the people’s behalf and send a clear message that sedition and treason by the likes of un-American traitors Cliven Bundy, armed militias, and their Fox and Koch co-conspirators will not be tolerated.

  1. I believe and ardently hope that the government will handle this in a more intelligent manner than it did at Waco or Ruby Ridge. In the long run, these people can’t win against over whelming odds, but those odds need to be used in a judicious and well considered manner so as not to make martyrs of Bundy and his cohorts, a strategic outcome desired by the bigger players in this game.

  2. Oh please, if this were a family of color, the GOP whould have sent in the National Guard, to gun them down.

  3. Remember Michelle Bachman inciting her teabagger supporters in front of the Capitol Building in early 2011? And then there’s Sarah Palin with all of her talk about “reloading.” And the constant stonewalling and obstruction that have been in place since January 2009 – the GOP’s deliberate sedition that’s been occurring, on our dime, since President Obama took office. I will never forgive the GOP for its behavior and I will never forget.

  4. The miltia’s could care less about Bundy, this is only an excuse for them to play tin soldier. I want to know why they used the government roads to carry their penis extenders to Nevada. Why were they not on horseback in the back country? Why do they use government functions to play their little game of soldiers? Have they no honor?

If any of them could read and be responsible, they would know Bundy is in the wrong. But it fits their agenda.

If they dont like the government, and they are not new, this has been going on since the country started, why dont they take their little weapons and go some where where they can play tin god for real?

Hannity? He knows Bundy is in the wrong. He, like Beck, jumps onto causes for ratings. The perfect idiot

  5. Fox in general and Hannity in particular will end up getting someone killed. Oh wait it already happen. Dr. George Tiller

  6. That is why BLM officials backed off – to prevent harm to the people who brought weapons. There are other, better strategies. They did the same thing in the Montana standoff, and that ended without bloodshed.

  7. But the GOP are NOT in charge, and this administration has no interest in thug tactics. Strategic retreat is wise. The idea that because the GOP would be vile that this administration should be the same is just not sensible.

  8. Remember, when Hitler seized the property of the Jew’s and sent them to the camps, he was just following the law.

As americans we sometimes have to stand up against a government that has lost touch with the people. Think about the abolution of slavery and the civil rights movement.

Having said that, is Bundy right or wrong? That I admit is a difficult question. I hope that our Commander in Chief can solve this situation with out an escalation like we had in Waco.

  9. Agreed he needs to get off or pay his fees.Siimple.If I don’t pay my taxes on my property they would have already confiscated it and have an auction 30 days later.

  10. Not difficult at all. Not if you research the situation. the courts will figure this out, not the president. After all, Bundy has been taken to court 3 times and been found in the wrong each time.

The government hasnt lost touch, Bundy has

  11. When American was founded, there were not 330 million people. We had not industrialized where we can now destroy large sections of land with oil, fracking, coal, mining etc.

Tea Party and militias refuse to accept that times have changed, that they cannot use land at will without concern for neighbors and society.

Spoiled, selfish white men who are shocked that their global economy and required growth industrial corporations are now affecting them.

If these ranchers were minorities, Hannity and all would be screeching how they hate America and won’t follow the rule of law.

The Tea Party and militias are going to melt down more, there will be casualties unfortunately, but they believe they are above the rules and don’t have to think about anyone but themselves.

    Sick of these traitorous bastards.

What they’ve done to our country and they still stomp their feet and threaten to kill everyone.

  12. The problem here is that the Koch brothers are messing with forces they cannot hope to control. They are dealing with the primal anger of irrational people who currently have had their anger misdirected. But their anger is growing exponentially as their incomes get squeezed, opportunities diminished and their safety net shredded. And the Kochs, the NRA and other right wing cynics are encouraging them to arm to the teeth and continue in their insurrection.

If the Koch brothers succeed in annihilating the Obama administration in particular and government in general, who will the guns turn on next? The next people in charge that’s who.

Because the Koch brothers will do nothing for these people, except poison their land, and take the few remaining crumbs of food left.

The Kochs and the other right wing cynioloticians are like locusts. They will feast until there is nothing but devastation in their wakes.

Unless we get out the bug zappers.

  13. “The supreme art of war is subdue the enemy without fighting.”

“Supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy’s resistance without fighting.”

“Pretend inferiority and encourage his arrogance.”

“If ignorant both of your enemy and yourself you are certain to be in peril.

Quotes by Sun Tsu, The Art of War, my personal “bible” if you will.

My point in these quotes is that the government was wise to retreat for now. That the militia idiots are arrogant and truly do not know their enemy thus there can be only one outcome, and it will not be good for them.

  14. No Jack that is not a difficult question at all. Cliven, bring all you guns to me, Bunday has been trespassing on federal lands for 20 years, has defied all lawful orders to comply with the law, and then threatened the federal government with violence. He is therefore a seditionist and a traitor to his country and if justice was enforced in this matter he would be executed.

Did you not even read the article.

  15. I hope pictures of ALL were taken and their Identifications checked out by the Federal Government. Then when these people go back to their residences. The authorities can quietly wait for an opportune moment, to apprehend them, charge them for their crimes and escort them to an airport to leave the US.
Any media source that has been found involved should have their license to broadcast removed. All involved can be escorted to the airport to meet their friends as they leave the country.
Bet the rest would take notice quick if it was dealt with in this manner.
In reality this will not happen. I know but this should be a clear wake up call to all Americans that our country is in danger posed by these numerous “Domestic Terrorists” and “We The People” should push for full prosecution of these people ASAP. Time to treat these people as what they are enemies of the USA.

  16. It’s easy to see what is happening. Once we go to war, kill each other, the wealthy will reclaim the land and turn all who remain into slaves. We’ll be in such despair that we’ll bow to them to save us. If they can’t buy the power, they’ll take the power when the population is less and the people are broken.
As for rule of law, they’ll create new laws using the bible. America will become Iran, N. Korea and we’ll except it as ‘free’. It’s a sad tale but seems to be the way it’s heading.

  17. Jack, I completely disagree. It’s not a difficult question in the least. Bundy is wrong, and should be brought to justice. How anyone can say, he’s not in the wrong, implies an anarchist agenda. I do hope that a lot of people don’t get killed. But it they do, it will be on Bundy.

  18. They fall on point within the sections of the USC that were cited, except that, since they are not acting on behalf of any government with whom we are officially at war (that is only North Korea, though Mike Huckabee’s statement is interesting), treason does not come into play until the first overt act of war against the United States. The Framers did not contemplate the possibility of a shadow government organizing until it could wage war against the real one. Indeed, in 1789, that was not technologically possible. Now, it is.

This has all the earmarks of a carefully orchestrated casus belli. It follows the Beer Hall Putsch of last October. Insurrectionary statements have come increasingly fast and thick from Christianists. Voters are being disenfranchised and the electorate subjected to openly contemtuous statements by their alleged representatives. It looks oddly synchronized

    Wake up. Koch-a-doodle-doo…

  19. When Nevada became a state in 1864, its citizens gave up all claims to unappropriated federal land and codified this in the state’s Constitution. The Nevada Constitution states:
“Third. That the people inhabiting said territory do agree and declare, that they forever disclaim all right and title to the unappropriated public lands lying within said territory, and that the same shall be and remain at the sole and entire disposition of the United States; …..”
If Bundy “owns the land then where is the deed? Where are the records he paid property taxes?
    It’s not his land.

  20. It is not a difficult question. Bundy grazes his cattle on public land. He hasn’t paid the fees used to maintain that land. Seize the cattle and whatever other property is necessary for public auction to pay the fees in arrears.
This treason is not motivated by anything but money.

  21. Why do we continue to let the traitors frame the issues? Bundy’s range war is not an attempt to start a second American Revolution. It is an attempt to revive the Confederacy, to restart the Civil War. Bundy and the rest of the militia idiots want to invoke the noble cause of the American Revolution in pursuit of their secessionist goals. We should not let them.

  22. Someone wants too have martial-law placed into effect in the U.S.A. to weaken this country even further. In my opinion.

  23. “That I admit is a difficult question”

It’s not a difficult question at all for anyone who has actually read the article and can think. This man has failed, for a couple of decades now, to pay the required fees to allow his privately-owned cattle (which he raises for profit) to graze on Federal (i.e. PUBLIC) land, and is thus in breach of the law, not to speak of getting a free ride.

    There. That wasn’t difficult.

  24. Don’t worry – the Feds are not done with them. They will be contained and paralyzed when their financial assets are frozen.

  25. The very first salvo by the government should be the arrest of Hannity, the Kochs, Ted Cruz and all the talking heads. Then AFTER the mid terms go in arrest Bundy, his family and ANY NUT JOB in the way…Be what may!

Some times the only thing assholes understand is a foot in it! So stick it in deep.

  26. great thinking Raymond. Was thinking the same, sit back in the weeds and wait for the right time to grab them. Then bring them to justice. Try them for treason. Confiscate all property send them to jail. Not for a short time but for a very long….. time.

  27. The BLM is just plain wrong in this case because it has no legal standing. What ever contracts and agreements Bundy and his ancestors have had with the State of Nevada and Clark County cannot later be abrogated by a third party (the BLM) because they had no part in the creation of those agreements and contracts.

    That is standard jurisprudence.

That is, however, unlikely to deter the BLM or the Obama Administration.

  28. Did you wake up stupid or did fail civics in summer school. Read if you can Clause 2: Federal Property and Territory Clause of the US Constitution. Damn you baggers who claim to uphold this document don’t even know whats in it. Idiot

  29. This went up to our President, who chose not to treat this as an armed insurrection. This was not just ignoring an invoice from the BLM, but several court orders.

When this militia threaten U.S. agents who were performing a legal action with harm, they had, and have, committed a federal crime. This is not Ruby Ridge or Waco, where there was no armed group defying federal authority.

It’s President Obama, not the Fox crowd or the Koch brothers who is culpable. Enforcing the rule of law can be cruel, as Obama deports the parents of children a million times a year, but that’s the law, and he must enforce it.

I have defended him in the past, but for this I condemn him
