Mitch McConnell Gets Caught Trying To Disguise His Paid Supporters As Sound Crew

mitch mcconnell paid supporters sound crew

Sen. Mitch McConnell was caught in a massive lie today when he told reporters that his paid supporters were sound crew. Other media soon revealed that many of his supporters at rallies were bused in.

McConnell’s claimed that his paid for friends were the sound crew:

However, a reporter at the senator’s events revealed the truth:

The story about McConnell paying for supporters is leading newscasts all across Kentucky:

A reporter who asked Sen. McConnell about the paid supporters after an event in Louisville today was lied to, and snapped at by the reeling incumbent.

McConnell said, “We had some staff people staffing the events. Ninety-five percent of the people, you were there. Were you there? Ninety-five percent of the people were local.”

The problem is that reporters who were there are reporting that Sen. McConnell is not telling the truth. McConnell’s campaign is increasingly showing signs of lacking popular support. The Republican Party has spent much of the month of October trying to bribe people to show up at McConnell’s rallies.

McConnell can’t admit that he has to pay people to show up at his rallies, so his campaign invented the excuse that a bus full of fake supporters are the sound crew. The problem is that the media can watch a second bus full of people in red McConnell t-shirts who aren’t working with sound equipment stand around and cheer for Mitch.

Sen. McConnell is lying, and the media caught him.

There are two things that money can’t buy. Money can’t buy votes and love. Right now, Mitch McConnell is lacking in love. We’ll see if that lack of love translates to a lack of votes on Election Day.

  1. “You hush up your mouth!” howled the mighty King Yertle. “You’ve no right to talk to the world’s highest turtle. I rule from the clouds! Over land! Over sea! There’s nothing, no, NOTHING, that’s higher than me!”

Until November 5, 2014, that is.

  2. “lack of popular support.” this is only news to people who are delusional. mcconnell will be unemployed after November, 4.

  3. McConnell is an example of how the whole TPGOP is acting. Anything to win, pure acts of desperation. They are in a panic for they were assured by their paid lackey’s that they would win easily.

  4. I certainly hope that the progressive sites are right when they imply that McConnell will lose. I have family in Kentucky, and unfortunately, they all plan to vote for him. Go figure. It’s not like they’re millionaires or anything. They’ll vote against their own best interest just because they ALWAYS vote Republican.

  5. Greg Abbott had to truck supporters into the Rio Grande valley for his debate with Wendy Davis. As far as McConnell goes, I love the smell of toast in the morning.

  6. Aw the poor guy.

But look on the bright side, had he tried to have a tea bag convention NO ONE would have showed up

  7. From your lips to the Universe’s ears….You are more optimistic than I since there are so many uninformed voters in our country.

  8. At the rally in Ashland,he told the people he new they weren’t there to see him. No s##t, they were probably there for the all you can eat buffet later.

  9. Yep, and you know why this is significant for another reason? It’s a little bit of psychology at play here. People do not like to be on the losing team. As they get closer and closer to election day and Tertle looks more and more like the losing candidate here, people who have perhaps been on the fence will switch to Alison because they too want to be a winner. This may even be partly why lately independents have been breaking her way.

Gotta love it. I will be AS excited as I was the day Cantor got blown out.

  10. With all these tricks and deceptions going on, you would think there would be a little more fuss in the GOP-owned newspapers and news programs. ROFLMAO Yeah. Right. Can we make soup out of the green turtle? VOTE BLUE for me and for YOU.

  11. I have been told by more than one white person that many very poor and even middle class whites will continue to vote for Republicans because the Democratic Party is seen as the party of Civil Rights and minorities. These people would rather vote for people who will hurt them than vote for a party who has their best interest at heart, because of hatred for minorities – especially black Americans.

  12. Ah C’mon the Big Dog won KY TWICE.

Why? cause he speaks their language.

The independents and undecideds are breaking to Alison because of HIM. He IS the Obi Wan!

  13. He says she should be ashamed of herself? Oh wow, that takes stones. I’m almost feeling like there’s some gender double standard stuff going on. Major media really want to take Grimes out. No question after the Todd fiasco the Washington Post ‘fact check’ was done to supply meat for a McConnell ad. They had to know that’s what will happen.

  14. breaking news: politician doing politician things and saying things politicians say.

i’m not a fan of mcconnell at all, i’m tired of him but this article is much ado about nothing.

McConnell is going to win. Kentuckians who didn’t vote for Obama don’t believe Grimes isn’t going to be a rubber stamp for President Obama. And let’s be honest, she will be.

For all the indignation about McConnell’s 95% claim, WE ALL KNOW that Grimes would kill coal if the president asked her too.

tired of the political season. tired of GOP and DEMs

  15. You really don’t know why the coal industry is dying do you? It aint the EPA. It aint Obama. Its this thing call natural gas. Stop being ignorant

  16. Have no fear, he will retire from the senate with his nice cushy retirement plus medical and have a job waiting for him..all with even more cushy benefits.

  17. “When a Republican is talking he is lying and the truth is the opposite of what he is saying.”

  18. Mitch McConnell is a vile and insidious human being. He represents all that is anachronistic and WRONG with not just the GOP but politics the way we know and live it here in the US, please G-D he gets the boot this upcoming election… what a message that would send!
