Sen. Mitch McConnell was caught in a massive lie today when he told reporters that his paid supporters were sound crew. Other media soon revealed that many of his supporters at rallies were bused in.

McConnell’s claimed that his paid for friends were the sound crew:

However, a reporter at the senator’s events revealed the truth:

The story about McConnell paying for supporters is leading newscasts all across Kentucky:

A reporter who asked Sen. McConnell about the paid supporters after an event in Louisville today was lied to, and snapped at by the reeling incumbent.

McConnell said, “We had some staff people staffing the events. Ninety-five percent of the people, you were there. Were you there? Ninety-five percent of the people were local.”

The problem is that reporters who were there are reporting that Sen. McConnell is not telling the truth. McConnell’s campaign is increasingly showing signs of lacking popular support. The Republican Party has spent much of the month of October trying to bribe people to show up at McConnell’s rallies.

McConnell can’t admit that he has to pay people to show up at his rallies, so his campaign invented the excuse that a bus full of fake supporters are the sound crew. The problem is that the media can watch a second bus full of people in red McConnell t-shirts who aren’t working with sound equipment stand around and cheer for Mitch.

Sen. McConnell is lying, and the media caught him.

There are two things that money can’t buy. Money can’t buy votes and love. Right now, Mitch McConnell is lacking in love. We’ll see if that lack of love translates to a lack of votes on Election Day.
