Three armed men entered the office of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris and opened fire on Wednesday, killing at least 12 people — including journalists, staff and police, according to French President Francois Hollande.

U.S. President Obama strongly condemned the attack on the satirical Paris newspaper that left at least 12 people dead. The President vowed to provide any assistance needed to help bring these terrorists to justice. In a statement the President said, “I strongly condemn the horrific shooting at the offices of Charlie Hebdo magazine in Paris that has reportedly killed 12 people. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this terrorist attack and the people of France at this difficult time.”

The President called France America’s oldest ally, “France is America’s oldest ally, and has stood shoulder to shoulder with the United States in the fight against terrorists who threaten our shared security and the world. Time and again, the French people have stood up for the universal values that generations of our people have defended. France, and the great city of Paris where this outrageous attack took place, offer the world a timeless example that will endure well beyond the hateful vision of these killers.”

The President assured that his Administration is in touch with French officials and he has directed his Administration “to provide any assistance needed to help bring these terrorists to justice.”

White House spokesman Josh Earnest told CNN Wednesday morning that President Obama had been “briefed with limited details about the Paris attack.” Further, “Earnest said he is not aware of any imminent threat to the United States.”

According to an AP report, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said “Washington will work hard to protect Americans at home and abroad” and they continue to monitor the situation.

  1. We had our own domestic terrorist attack here in the US last night

An explosion outside an NAACP office building in Colorado on Tuesday morning that rattled neighbors was caused deliberately, officials say.

An improvised explosive device was detonated against the exterior wall of the NAACP building on South El Paso Street in Colorado Springs around 10:45 a.m. Mountain time. No one was injured, said Amy Sanders, a spokeswoman for the FBI in Denver.

A gasoline can had been placed near the device but did not ignite during the explosion, Sanders said.

FBI Denver and the Colorado Springs Police Department are on the scene. A 40-year-old man is a person of interest in the investigation. He may be driving a 2000 or older-model dirty, white pick-up truck with paneling, a dark colored bed liner, an open tailgate and a missing or covered license plate.

  2. He was trying to kill black people. Still not a serious crime here. FOX will go nuts over the attack in Paris and largely ignore this one.

  3. I am just waiting for the police to stop and frisk all white balding men who drive pick up trucks

  4. Now you know even as we watch this transpire in Fox News World Obama praised the attacks by these terrorists and is going to snub our French allies. The Fox News crowd will even go so far as to blame this attack on another nation as another “example of Obama’s feckless foreign policies” and! “his ongoing war against white Christianity”.

  5. This is all well and fine, but I would like to see more rooting out of American right wing organizations before we go nuts over the Arch De Triumph

  6. Exactly. I feel for the families that lost love ones but that is the France problem and if I remember correctly they always had problems with extremist.

  7. Ol’ Looking for a War (anywhere) John McCain and his sidekick Lindsaaaaay. Will want Boots on the ground in Paris to rout the evil doers no doubt. Ha! Or, blame Obama for not doing anything to have stopped this incident—IN FRANCE! Wanna bet FOX picks up that line too?

  8. There are those who will say that these journalists brought this on themselves. Quite the contrary, however, some of the blame must rest with the governments of the West who allow this type of low life to infest their countries and, indeed, welcome them with benefits of various kinds paid for by overwhelmed taxpayers. It is way past time Western governments woke up, threw away their rose-colored glasses and played the same game as these walking pieces of dog excrement. What’s the old saying . . . fight fire with fire!
