RNC Member Causing Headaches For GOP By Refusing To Resign After Racist Facebook Post

Just ahead of the Republican National Committee’s Winter Meeting, where the GOP will address their need to appeal to non-white voters, a committeeman’s bigoted and racists statements on social media are giving headaches to RNC members. Michigan RNC Committeeman Dave Agema made a Facebook post on New Year’s Eve where he reprinted an article from the American Renaissance and prefaced it by saying it was a “very interesting article” and “we are in a cultural battle.” The American Renaissance is a white nationalist publication and the article is an inflammatory piece decrying blacks as illiterate criminals.

Per the National Journal, Virginia GOP Chairman Pat Mullins is currently canvassing other RNC members asking that they expel Agema from the winter meetings in San Diego later this week. Mullins also wants Agema kicked out of the committee. Agema has verified that he will be in attendance and has refused to step down. On Tuesday, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus reiterated previous requests that Agema resign, dating back to at least last year’s Winter Meeting. Prior to the New Year’s Eve Facebook post, Agema had used social media to make offensive comments about President Obama, homosexuals and Muslims.

Even though Agema did delete the American Renaissance post, he has remained unapologetic. On Tuesday, he posted a rambling screed to his Facebook page defending the initial post and blaming Obama, Eric Holder and Al Sharpton for the problems he sees in the black community.

As you can see from his rant, Agema claims Allen West, the former one-term Republican Congressman and current plagiarizing pundit, is the person who turned him on to the racist article from a white nationalist website. Indeed, West did post the entire piece to his website on December 29th. Even though West titled the entry “Quite Possibly The Most Racist Article You Will Ever Read,” he praised it throughout his blog post, stating it was very deep and and eloquent and addressed issues the “progressive socialist left” wouldn’t, because “they hate the truth.”

It is a profound and deeply disturbing piece, which, as we end 2014, we all need to comprehend as we move towards the 50th anniversary of the Great Society initiatives of President Lyndon Baines Johnson.

Smith articulates that which ails the black community — the real discussion we should be having on race, not that of victimhood and the further expansion of the welfare nanny-state.

It will take you only 5 minutes to read this article — and I would bet you’ll read it again. Then ask yourself, is this something you hear Al Sharpton addressing? Or President Obama, Eric Holder, Jeh Johnson or Jesse Jackson?

I’m quite sure the progressive socialist left will criticize me for sharing this article – that’s just who they are – they hate the truth. But if there is a war to be fought, it is for the soul of the inner city and the black community. The facts and observations in this are not shocking to me. They are quite well known, but the manner in which the writer so eloquently presents them is quite commendable.

For the record, I would just like to share some excerpts from the article that both Agema and West praise for being enlightening and honest.

Most blacks are unable to speak English well. They cannot conjugate verbs. They have a poor grasp of verb tenses. They have a limited vocabulary. They cannot speak without swearing. They often become hostile on the stand. Many, when they testify, show a complete lack of empathy and are unable to conceal a morality based on the satisfaction of immediate, base needs. This is a disaster, especially in a jury trial. Most jurors are white, and are appalled by the demeanor of uneducated, criminal blacks.

Black women have great faith in God, but they have a twisted understanding of His role. They do not pray for strength or courage. They pray for results: the satisfaction of immediate needs. One of my clients was a black woman who prayed in a circle with her accomplices for God’s protection from the police before they would set out to commit a robbery.

Part of the problem is that underclass black women begin having babies at age 15. They continue to have babies, with different black men, until they have had five or six. These women do not go to school. They do not work. They are not ashamed to live on public money. They plan their entire lives around the expectation that they will always get free money and never have to work. I do not see this among whites, Hispanics, or any other people.

This isn’t a careful case study by a beleaguered public defender who bought into the liberal ideals of tolerance only to be disappointed by reality. No. This is racist drivel being passed on to white conservatives to justify and legitimize their own beliefs that blacks truly are an inferior race and need to be treated as such. When people of influence, such as a former Congressman or a major party’s committee member, use their positions and notoriety to spread this kind of dangerous message, they need to be called out on it and held up to ridicule.

  1. We’ve heard this reaching out to minorities before from the Repubs and it never works. They always go back to the same old pro-rich, pro-male, pro-white, pro-Christian ways.

  2. Outside of a few misguided, delusional, self-serving or self-loathing Black Uncle Toms and Aunt Tammys, why else do you think the Republican/Tea Party is made up of 99.9999% White people.

  3. What is even more disturbing than Agema and the “Smith” article are the countless supporting comments that follow it.
Sure, there is no racism in America.

  4. I’m so glad that I do not suffer from such low self esteem that the only way I can feel good about myself is to base my concepts, dislike & disdain of a whole people on something as superficial as skin color. I know that I have been made smarter, stronger & more beautiful than they are & that is enough, I needn’t rub their noses in it to cement my obvious superiority, I know I am right & they are wrong & I am secure in that knowledge

  5. You’ve been made superior to who? You’re smarter, stronger and more beautiful than who? Your grammar doesn’t indicate you’re smarter than a fifth grader and your humility indicates you’re a complete moron.

Go brush your teeth, both of them, and crawl back into your box – the one behind the dumpster.

  6. Who is this “they” compared to whom you are “smarter, stronger, and more beautiful”? How many of “them” have you actually seen? What scale are you using to measure against “them”? And lastly, have any of “them” been airheaded enough to make such a conceited statement about themselves as you have just done?

  7. They’re showing their true colors. ‘False flag’ operators like Steve Scalise don’t fare well in the Wonderful World of Web.

  8. Spare me! The GOP have had six d@@n years to reach out to minorities, and have deliberately failed to do so. Enough of this fake anger at a member of their party expressing outrage when one of their bigoted, narrow-minded red necked members uses an article that expresses precisely how they feel about non whites in this country.Minorities are not stupid, unlike Conservative voters. Every non white person in this country knows the Republicans have been fostering racial hatred every since Obama won in 2008.
If the right is trying to win over minorities, then Dick Cheney is becoming a progressive!

  9. Now, Maxie, we both know that, according to them, he’s a MuslimKeyanMauMauAnti-Colonial who is occupying “their” WH and can do nothing right. When he became POTUS, they had a problem with him speaking “down” to them and sounding “professorial.” You, I, and many others understood everything he said. People like Agema and the lawyer who wrote this article can count the Black Americans they know well on one, maybe two, finger(s.) I read today that in WV 50% of those living there don’t work (most are white,) but I don’t expect those who bash blacks to ever admit this is the case. I’m a retired teacher, so I know for a fact that it’s not only black females having kids out of wedlock. I also know that the number of black teen females having kids has decreased, but these folks are like the “terrorism” expert who told the whopper on Fox recently.

  10. It’s because repubes are incapable of actually changing their attitudes and policies. They think all it takes for successful outreach to people they’ve been screwing over for decades is a better message.

  11. Did anyone posting here actually read the article in question? It strikes me that all that is under consideration is the out of context snippets which have been strung together to totally take a different viewpoint.

  12. He is quick to tell everyone of their faults but sure does overlook his. What a gem. Of course he is a leader of the right wing wackos. Maybe they should all pray in a circle to get rid of him. Seems as if they are the only ones who have a hotline to the Creator. Stupid fools.

  13. IMHO, if the SCOTUS thinks it’s discriminatory to use preclearance on just certain areas, which in fact is true (discrimination has no boarders), then require preclearance everywhere. Moving or removinga polling location has to be done for a reason, such as a change in the areas population or a problem with the current location. It would be pretty obvious as has been shown recently since SCOTUS’ ruling when it is done for discriminatory purposes. The problem is that without preclearance, the damage is done before the legal process can do anything about it. That is why it needs to be fixed.

  14. Gee Veronica can we homely peasants live on your beautiful planet too!?..Pretty Please!?…..your beauty may be skin deep but your UGLY is most assuredly to the BONE!

  15. Maxie2014, the GOTPKKKNRA will never try to get the black vote or any persons vote of color or of different faith other than Christian. Their agenda and ultimate goal is to ELIMINATE all persons of color, of faith other than Christian and those of same sex preference. They demand compliance at the point of their gun>NRA! They will never believe in our REAL national motto E Pluribus Unum instead they believe in a motto that glorifies a fictional character because he gives them the power to do whatever they please in his name.

  16. Veronica? What’s obvious from your comment: you’re too stupid to realize that what you posted just OOZES with both insecurity and ignorance.

After all, people who are truly “good-looking” don’t have to wander around TELLING other people how “good-looking” they are, honey. Which makes you pretty damned dumb.

You need some therapy. THAT is clear from your comment.

And .. . .. Thanks for the huge laugh!
