MSNBC Shakeup Means Viewers Will Get Even More GOP Talking Points With Extra Morning Joe

With Thomas Roberts moving from the pre-Morning Joe slot to replacing Ronan Farrow and Joy Reid, something had to take over Roberts’ old show, and that person will be Joe Scarborough.

According to an MSNBC spokesperson, Morning Joe will be taking over MSNBC’s Way Too Early show until a permanent replacement can be named.

Logically, it makes sense to have the people who are going on the air at 6 AM start a half of an hour earlier, but Morning Joe is a huge sore spot with MSNBC viewers. At some point in any discussion about MSNBC, someone will mention getting rid of Morning Joe.

Ratings for the show are declining. Morning Joe has fallen to third place behind CNN’s New Day, but MSNBC loves the show. They don’t care that their viewers don’t want to watch Joe Scarborough rattle off Republican talking points for hours on end. MSNBC will stick with Joe Scarborough until the plug is pulled on the entire network.

It doesn’t matter how much viewers protest, MSNBC is going to keep the Morning Joe coming. In fact, they are going to make you pay for their mistake of giving Ronan Farrow a television show by giving Scarborough even more airtime.

The fact that Joe Scarborough was promoted to a regular spot on Meet The Press indicates that his role with NBC is only going to continue to grow. If Chuck Todd doesn’t work out as the host of Meet The Press, don’t be surprised if NBC promotes Scarborough to take his place.

While trying to right the ship, MSNBC gave their viewers something that they definitely don’t want. Even more Morning Joe.
