  1. Now much of the money is lining Warren Buffet’s pockets since he owns the company that currently transports much of the Canadian oil.

Of course shipping buy rail is safe.

Pick your poison. I’m sure Warren has never made a political contribution he did not mean.

    Bob.

  2. Do you even read the links you provide? The oil that Buffet is shipping by rail is from North Dakota and its shale not Canadian tar sands. You do know North Dakota is part of the United States and unlike the Canadian tar sands it is for domestic use.

  3. Bob, the problem is that the Koch Brothers and the Reich Wing DEMAND the choice of poison for ALL of us without our knowledge or consent. So Bob you just keep letting people like the Koch’s and Fox and the Reich Wing stick one in ya’…we’ll just point and laugh.

  4. I’m sick of educating people

Capital Rivals: Koch Brothers vs. George Soros
VERDICT: When it comes to the combination of institutional lobbying, 527 group donations and PAC expenditures, Koch Industries far out-spends Soros’ hedge fund and think tank, $57.4 million to $12.8 million.

Yeah, Soros supports progressive candidates because they align with his billions he’s donated to human rights, public health, and education causes. He’s donated -0- to planet destruction.

  5. Keystone pipeline all risk and no reward
“To make matters worse, TransCanada would not be liable for cleaning up the mess that Keystone XL will create. Because tar sands oil is not subject to the 8-cents-per-barrel excise tax that funds the Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund, American taxpayers would likely be forced to bear any clean-up costs.”

  6. DJ,
    From the first link;

“Canadian crude finds its way to U.S. refineries via rail and barge
Another major North American oil production center that is also being serviced by railroad shipments is Alberta’s oil sands. Growing volumes of bituminous coal are seeing high demand from U.S. refiners, who are seeking to capitalize on the massive price disparity between Canadian crude and American inland crude.”

Maybe you should read past the first two paragraphs. Maybe this will help:

    or this,

I’m sure the pipeline will create as much pollution all all those train running up and down the country at an freight cost of $20 a barrel.

  7. Joe,
Why the crude joke. If you think Buffet is not screwing you you are fooling yourself. BTW I do not watch Fox, nor any other national televised news. It is pure propaganda and a terrible waste of time.
I’m sure they are all laughing at us thinking how we vote matters.
    Bob.

  8. Andy,
I’m sure Tom Steyer spent his share on this last election cycle and don’t get me started with the self serving union spending. On the other hand the spending was almost the same by both sides. Considering how lopsided the election was I would say the Democrats should ask for a refund. Personally I don’t think either party gives a damn about the voting citizens. Once they are in power they do whatever they want.

One thing about the Koch brothers at least they employ people to do productive jobs and make things in this country. I can’t vouch for Wikis accuracy, but I have seen similar numbers elsewhere. Since I know how much you guy loves the Kochs.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/12/arkansas-koch-industries-plant-high-rates-of-cancer_n_1007148.html

A provocative new video by political filmmakers Brave New Films says that Crossett residents who suffer from poor air quality and ambient carcinogens are victims of pollution emitted by a Koch Industries-owned paper manufacturer, Georgia-Pacific. The plant is located directly upstream from the channel behind Penn Road. “Whatever’s in (the water) is killing these trees,” says David Bouie in the video. “You can see the steam coming from the stuff. It gets up in the air, and it flows over where our property is.”

    Ignorance is not bliss

  15. Myths And Facts About The Koch Brothers
“FACT: Kochs Spend In Conjunction With Their Financial Interests, And Spend More

ABC News: Kochs Are Worth Over 50 Times As Much As Tom Steyer. ABC News reported that the Koch brothers are worth over 50 times as much as Tom Steyer: $81.2 billion to $1.6 billion. The news organization also noted that while the Koch brothers “rarely” make public appearances, Steyer “plans to travel to” many of the states he is campaigning in and “it looks as if he’s prepared to be the public face of these efforts.” [ABCNews.com, 5/22/14]
