  1. Bernie by far is the best candidate for President of the United States as he’s proven himself in the US Senate that he’s a true populist politician.

  2. If Sanders or Clinton wins it wont make a difference unless all of us get off our asses and elect a progressive congress and start taking back our state houses from ALEC

  3. I’d vote for Bernie in a heartbeat. I saw part of his speech until MSNBC cut it off. No other cable show was covering it. No CNN, Fox, Al Jazerra nothing. Disgusting. Luckily Bernie will demand he gets covered. I can’t wait for him on Fox to expose their lies. But they would be too scared to have him on.

  4. Bernie is the “real deal.” he is something that this country has needed for a long time. But like it was said early, it won’t mean a thing unless we get off of our conveniences and take back what belongs to us. Let the Koch Bros. know this country is not for sale.

  5. I almost forgive you for being a limbaugh lover -I am laughing so hard I can’t type.

And I just read DJs link so I was already laughing.

Jimmy Fallon AMA Redditt bit was hysterical.

  6. oops, I typed the msg below before I saw your msg.

I have a long delay at this site. It forces me off this box until ads finish, and that happens all the time. Frustratings since it started.

The last line of your link was this – come on, that is funny in the context of the rest of that article…:

“The fact that he is utterly fearless in advocating for Scandinavian-style democratic socialism is no reason to treat him like a kook.”

  7. There is no satire there at all oh mighty Gate master. I want Bernie Sanders to be the Democratic nominee for president. Think about it for a moment.

  8. @robert, oopps I mean MICHELLE BACHMANN, you like senator Sanders huh? you sarcastic SOB! lol you really are a full blown A$SHOLE! SERIOUSLY! I bet you were born a A$SHOLE! raised as a A$SHOLE! I wondering if we looked up your family tree, it would just be a branch with A$SES hanging off it. MICHELLE, besides haunted liberal websites, what do you do for entertainment? wait till midnight and urinate on all your neighbors BLACK lawn jockeys? btw did I mention this? YOU’RE a A$SHOLE.

  9. Hey, since you brought it up, let’s clear up this Limbaugh business.
Was I a ditto head? Yeah, back in the late 80’s and 90’s. But he lost his edge when he lost his hearing, and I haven’t listened to a word of his in over ten years.
When I mentioned that Limbaugh/Maddow thing everybody thought I was praising Rush. I wasn’t at all. I meant it in the sense of it being a great debate; a cage match. I think Maddow would handle him easily, don’t you?

  10. Love this man, supporting him fully in all ways possible.

If anyone can get in there and kick some a** it’s going to be Sanders.

Give hope and chance, feel the Bern…

  11. What ALEC is doing is nothing new here. The problem is 95% of the people when you mention Alec they think you are talking about Alex P Keaton

  12. Yes DJ I want Robert banned. Have wanted it for a while now. You have the power, the means, and now the REASON!!

  13. Oh I Know where you are coming from. That is what makes it so nasty. Let me tell you Mr. You may have a perfect “RIGHT” to post here, but that doesn’t make it “RIGHT”. A cancer has a perfect “RIGHT” to exist in a human body too, that certainly is NOT right and even you would agree with that.

  14. I’m with you Aleta. We need some one with no baggage but a proven stance to get this election on the right track. I’m with you Bernie!

  15. It is awesome to see Bernie gaining such momentum, I have been following him for quite awhile when he does an hour question and answer session on the Thom Hartmann show. I agree, we should back this man. My friend and I have been on a mission to spread the word about him, it is good to see others doing the same.

  16. Sanders is wrong , declaring war on the Koch brothers. Just make them obey the laws and pay all their taxes like most of the rest of America

  17. My Rants against Robert are done for tonite. If he was banned, he could just come back under a different name. I love this site and 99% of posters here. Sad thing is, I WAS a Republican until 2004. At least was registered that way but had changed 12 years earlier. I had a transformation Something like Ed Shultz. I was never wealthy like Ed, and now I’m poor. But when I DID have something and I saw a man and his wife with NOTHING I did step up. And in a big way but that was in 1993. The poor guy died of cancer but I was able to help him when I had it to give. Now, In some ways I’m like him. Except for the cancer. I HOPE.

  18. Liberals are NOT – or at least should NOT be – about censoring & banning those with unpopular views.

Are solid arguments are strong enough to confront them head-on!

Show us a pattern where Robert has been downright rude and uncivil, and I might change my mind.

  19. The need now is for someone to organize us citizens into a big enough force to be heard by a critical mass of other reasonable citizens (“reasonable” thus leaving out anyone who takes more than a glancing, skeptical look at FOX News or listens to Rush Limbaugh for any other reason than getting one’s blood pumping with a daily dose of idiocy), reasonable citizens who will claim our power, raise up, and create a country we can be truly proud of.

I think Bernie could use our help. After all, he is trying to help us! I am going to reach deep and give him $100 which I think is more than I have ever given to a politician. Who else is in? Start with $10 if that is more comfortable. Just something so he knows we are out here. And leave a comment if you gave something. Let’s see how far this can go.

Does this make me a bundler? Bundling, Bernie style. How many other Bernie Bundlers are there out there? See how many friends you can get interested in contributing to Bernie Sander’s camp…

  20. Dear Politicus USA – Great article but your headline misses the points raised during the announcement of Bernie Sander’s running for President.

Your headline “Bernie Sanders Launches His Presidential Campaign With A Declaration Of War On The Kochs” is a disservice to what the candidate is trying to achieve.

You turned Bernie’s argument and the basis of his entire campaign- that the system is corrupt and needs to be fixed and that only way the system works for all is if the inequality in the system is addressed – and that the only way that will happen is if body electorate elects candidates who will act on behalf of the majority and not the few – into an a message of a personal attack on the Kochs. Who – although guilty of helping to create the current systemic inequality within the US Political System – they are only a one part of the much larger and broader systemic problems( Voter turnout, ALEC, Lobbying regulations etc.) Mr. Sanders wishes to address in his campaign.

  21. Selling out America for a fistful of dollars…

“Two days before the fast-track vote, Obama was a few votes shy of having the filibuster-proof majority he needed. Ron Wyden and seven other Senate Democrats announced they were on the fence on 12 May, distinguishing themselves from the Senate’s 54 Republicans and handful of Democrats as the votes to sway.

In just 24 hours, Wyden and five of those Democratic holdouts – Michael Bennet of Colorado, Dianne Feinstein of California, Claire McCaskill of Missouri, Patty Murray of Washington, and Bill Nelson of Florida – caved and voted for fast-track.

Bennet, Murray, and Wyden – all running for re-election in 2016 – received $105,900 between the three of them. Bennet, who comes from the more purple state of Colorado, got $53,700 in corporate campaign donations between January and March 2015, according to Channing’s research.”

  22. I don’t think I brought up that point here but that is completely accurate and very important in the real world.

My ex and I lived in Vermont for 4 months many years ago (before and after lived in NYCs melting pot totally integrated areas) and one day we were at an event there and one of us suddenly said, where are they hiding all the black and brown people. We laughed but when we looked into it there were none. The ski resorts – not one. The country music concerts – not one. Country fairs with pig wrestling – not one.

There are none. Still. And that was decades ago. They have this complete lack of immigrant knowledge that I grew up with as part of my life due to my friends of all kinds. Temples, mosques, atheism, greek ortho and baptists all with places on one street in NY.

Not registering with the BS fans yet, but at my dem party meeting it was the big joke at every table – and everyone had a HILLARY name badge. Nobody chose BS tag.

  23. All that said. He has the full support of Occupy. They were at his kick off of a few hundred. Code pink, occupy, B&J.

How will occupy win the White House?

Sorry, but it is comical at best and deranged in the real world.

  24. Where did this come from? This is new to me. Sounds highly wrong. And an attack on dems isn’t helpful, either…
