The AFL-CIO Rises Up And Takes Apart Scott Walker With Just One Sentence

Hours before Governor Scott Walker’s (R-WI) impending announcement that he is seeking the presidency, the AFL-CIO issued their statement on and it is only one sentence long, “Scott Walker is a national disgrace.”

Well. That about sums up Scott Walker’s record on workers’ rights, women’s rights, the economy, his stealing from the poor to give the rich even more policies… National disgrace. Perfect. Scott Walker is also proving that the lies about “trickle down” are utter garbage, as these policies have kept Wisconsin dragging behind the national recovery.

The AFL-CIO describes itself as an umbrella federation of U.S. unions fighting for working men and women:

We are the umbrella federation for U.S. unions, with 56 unions representing 12.5 million working men and women. We work to ensure that all people who work receive the rewards of their work—decent paychecks and benefits, safe jobs, respect and fair treatment. We work to make the voices of working people heard in the White House, on Capitol Hill, in state capitals across the country and in corporate boardrooms. We provide an independent voice for working families and ways for working people to be actively engaged in politics and legislation. We also hold corporations accountable for their treatment of employees and ensure the voice of working people is heard in the financial system. We also work with federations of unions in other countries toward global social and economic fairness.

Scott Walker has made a name for himself as a conservative darling by attacking hard-won and long-fought for workers rights in Wisconsin. Walker is on record as being willing to do pretty much anything the Koch brothers ask of him, and the Koch brothers’ biggest goal is to be allowed to make more money without having to share or be responsible when they kill people (literally).

The Republican agenda to kill any government reforms that protect workers and keep the environment reasonably safe for humans is perfectly encapsulated in Scott Walker. If Donald Trump speaks for the base, Scott Walker speaks for the corporate puppet masters, the 2% who want to buy our government for their own greedy purposes.

Walker will be announcing his candidacy Monday evening in Waukesha, Wisconsin — yes, home of the torn ballot bags, miscounts and “found votes” that have been so helpful for Mr. Walker.

  • The Republican litany remains unchanged- Blame the Workers, when it's the Lazy Rich Folks.

Scott Walker in particular, and every single republican in general- are disgraces to America.

  • So Scott Walker has finally officially declared his candidacy for the 2016 Republican nomination for POTUS.
This can only mean one thing -- he has finally received his shipment of RNC-issued materials that are mandatory for any Republican considering a run for the Presidency:

    - his copies of "The Idiot's Guide to Right Wing Ideology", "The U.S., Theocracy, and Me", and "The White Christian Male's Survival Manual"

    - a World Geography coloring book

    - a case of Lipton tea bags

    - an Etch-a-Sketch and a 'reset button', essential equipment for any Republican nominee during the post-primary campaign.

  • Don't you love it when a guy who can't govern a State wants to govern a Nation. Wisconsin is 44th out of 50 States in private sector job growth by his own economic measure. Wages in Wisconsin fell at twice the rate of the national average. The bottom 40 percent of wage earners saw a decrease in their salary of 2400 dollars, while the top fifth saw an increase of 17000 dollars. Projections for job growth in the next year is for Wisconsin to rank 49th of 50 States. 60 percent of tax cuts went to people earning over 100000 dollars annually. The so-called "skills shortage" turns out to be a pay shortage...Wisconsin doesn't pay enough to attract welders, for example, and yet Wisconsin claims a shortage of welders. smh Walker governorship continues to be a complete and utter failure...and he wants to be POTUS? Is this some sort of joke?

  • Who can forget the famous phone call that
he thought was one of the Koch's, he simpered and preened because they (in his mind) were fans of his, and ever since that he has been a paid servant of the Koch's.

    • Nixon was a liberal dream compared to Walker. His policy concerning social welfare very liberal leaning. But then most Americans hadn't been brain washed into thinking all of our problems were created by poor people. That was Reagan's gift to us all. Didn't like Nixon. Hated his policy but seems a step up from Walker.

  • So, what is the RNC going to do, either start a Klown Kar Konvoy, or go to an RV Kar ain't big enough anymore.
