Scott Walker Goes Full Scumbag By Refusing To Admit That Obama Is A Christian

In a deplorable move, Republican presidential candidate Scott Walker refused to admit that President Obama is a Christian.

Time reported:

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker still isn’t sure President Obama is Christian.

“I don’t know,” the Republican presidential candidate said Saturday during an appearance before 450 donors to the political network backed by conservative billionaires Charles and David Koch. “I presume he is,” Walker continued when asked if he has had time to check since he set off a firestorm in February when he couldn’t answer if the President is Christian.

“You’re not going to get a different answer than I said before,” Walker said toward the end of a Q&A session moderated by Politico’s Mike Allen. Walker said he’s never asked Obama about his faith. “As someone who is a believer myself, I don’t presume to know someone’s beliefs about whether they follow Christ or not unless I’ve actually talked with him.”

President Obama is a Christian. It is clear to everyone, but Republicans who want pander to the bigots in their party that Obama is a Christian. Here is what President Obama said at this year’s Easter Prayer Breakfast, “On Easter, I do reflect on the fact that as a Christian, I am supposed to love. And I have to say that sometimes when I listen to less than loving expressions by Christians, I get concerned. But that’s a topic for another day.”

This garbage of Republicans playing dumb when it comes to the President’s faith or his birth certificate only serves to make the GOP look insane. Scott Walker has been struggling to gain traction as a presidential candidate, so his answer on Obama’s faith is best viewed through the prism of a desperate candidate pandering to the hatred and bigotry of his party.

President Obama has served his country with honor and dignity. There have been no scandals during the Obama administration, and the President has served as a shining example of a good family man and Christian.

Walker’s answer was pure sleaze, and after the Bush years, the American people should be skeptical of electing another Republican president who is so capable of denying reality.

  1. Weasel Skumbagg Kochsucker wouldn’t know what it was to be a Christian if Jesus Christ came back just to have Bible Study with him…

  2. So when Shark Eyes watched the President sing
Amazing Grace recently in Charleston,SC, he thought
he was watching a hypocrite? Judge not…

  3. I wish when dumbasses like this POS say something so idiotic someone would ask his droopy eye ass what makes you a Christain

  4. I would say that based on his actions as CEO of America is not indicative of a person who follows the teachings of Christ. Just because one goes to church and professes to be a Christian does not make them one. The church is full of Satan’s spawn.

Why is his religious affiliation being brought up anyway? Seems the conversation points to religious bigotry.

The No Religious Test Clause of the United States Constitution is found in Article VI, paragraph 3, and states that:

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.

  5. It is sometimes politically useful to profess a faith one doesn’t really have. My Democrat brother used to argue that he thought George W. was making up his Christianity for political points. And the fact is, you really can’t know.

That’s all I take Walker to be saying. You don’t really know what is in the hearts of others. If you know someone well, you might venture a guess. But even then, you can’t really be sure. Hell, if you really take scripture seriously, all professing Christians can do is hope *they* are really Christian, and not idolators who in practice worship something more than God. “It is not everyone who says to me “My Lord, My Lord”, who enters the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 7:21).

In short: the question could only be posed by a journalist ignorant of Christianity and who is most likely using the question to score points for his home team (the Democrats).

  6. From the direction the GOP has gone over the past 35 years it is clear that the entire GOP has gone full scumbag if not total douchebag.

  7. I’ve gotta be honest, as a spiritual person myself, over the last 30 yrs my patience for organized religion is running out! I’ve seen how religion has been used to manipulate weak minded people into doing things they’d never do on their own. american style christianity has turned into a circus a CON GAME! I believe in a higher authority than myself but I also recognize that man typically poisons pretty much EVERYTHING we touch! and I admit it, religion, BAD religion is the most destructive force man has ever been apart of! and america is destroying itself with this FAKE religious nonsense! What difference does it make if Obama or for that fact ANYONE is a christian running for office? This country is completely ridiculous, so if you’re a atheist, you’re not a moral person? believe me, I find most atheist to be very intelligent moral caring people, supposedly christians? not so much, this country needs to grow up! religion belongs at home and church! NOT in politics.

  8. republicans aren’t christians, POINT BLACK, real christians attempt to be ”Christ like” , republicans are the complete opposite of Christ, just read SOME of Jesus’s teachings, it’s NOTHING like what the GOP is selling, the difference between extreme american religious zealots and middle eastern zealots is MELANIN! that’s pretty much it! if your typical RIGHT WINGER religious nut could get away with it, they’d be EXACTLY like ISIS!!

  9. That our political discourse has come to the point of a zero accomplished Republican candidate for his party’s presidential nomination to be asked about the religion of one of our greatest presidents of all time is absurd and sad. Shame on Mike Allen and Politico.

  10. My last point, do some research on extreme middle eastern religion, I keep seeing ONE very consist theme, the de- humanizing of WOMEN, where MEN are absolute rulers and women should submit to them, unquestioned! the american abortion issue? for the love of GOD! it’s ALL a scheme created for irresponsible, lazy, STUPID, worthiness MEN! LOL but what blows my mind is how republican women fall for that CON! republican women just shut up and nod sheepishly! but let a republican female jump on the internet, especially jumping on a LIBERAL site and lo and behold! they can’t stop talking! just cheerlead for the very system that enslaves them! republican women, black republican and gay republican oh and broke A$S republican, completely AMAZE me! LOW self esteem is a TRIP!

  11. Scott Walker is a disgrace to the Christian religion. If he thinks he is a Christian with the hate and evilness that he shows. Then I have news for him, Jesus tells in Matt.7:21-23…. Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

  12. Good one for those who don’t know the term shabbos goy
is a non-Jew who performs certain types of work (melakha) which Jewish religious law (halakha) enjoins the Jew from doing on the Sabbath.

  13. Why would someone ask another person about someone’s religion? And moreover why would you feel compelled to answer.

  14. How does this make him a scumbag? He said “I presume he is,” but has no way of knowing the personal convictions of the president. This is garbage reporting from a garbage website with commenters cursing (with very poor grammar) those that disagree with them.

  15. Ummm… What would Scott Walker know about who is a “Christian” in the first place? Isn’t he a KKKhristian?

  16. I have friends who are atheists, Jews, and Muslims, and believe me they have more of the spirit of what Christ taught in them, than the small fingernail of the GOP will ever have calling themselves Christians.

When I make friends, I don’t care what belief they have, or their color, or where they came from, it is CHARACTER folks that makes the person, not religion. The GOP has no character except evil.

  17. Actually, his response is quite understandable, as he replies “I don’t know” to many simple questions posed to him by reporters.

Walker’s expertise is restricted to destroying labor unions, undermining public education, and screwing the middle class family.
On any other topic, he cannot express an opinion or policy position until after he has consulted his Magic 8-Ball.

But hey, at least he has a catchy campaign slogan: “I’ve got a Koch and a smile.”

  18. Why even bring up religion in a Presidential Run?

    Here’s why:
Bill Maher On Running For Office: Americans Would ‘Probably Elect a Pedophile Before An Atheist’

And we all know why. Because “ya gotta believe” in something apparently.
And apparently that something HAS to be the Protestant Judeo-Christian God as interpretated by the Ammo-sexuals of America.

“Obama is not a brown-skinned anti-war socialist who gives away free healthcare. You’re thinking of Jesus.”

    ― John Fugelsang

  19. YEAH I AGREE. ~~~~~> “Walker’s answer was pure sleaze, and after the Bush years, the American people should be skeptical of electing another Republican president who is so capable of denying reality.”

  20. Does Snot Walker have a brain? I don’t presume to know. I’ve never talked to him. [WINK]

  21. Nothing wrong with not being Christian. But he did have a scumbag aim, since so many Americans are intolerant of non-belief and would have a knee-jerk reaction.

  22. By Scott Walker’s logic, no one can be deemed a Christian unless he can personally attest to it. Does Walker only SUPPOSE that his fellow Republicans are Christian?

Why not accept that President Obama is a Christian (1) because says he’s a Christian; (2) his behavior reflects his Christian beliefs (as opposed to someone else’s Christian beliefs); and (3) there is absolutely no evidence to the contrary. It’s not as if they hide his prayer rugs when folks visit the White House.

Of course, there are some who might see contrary evidence in Mr. Obama’s respectful behavior toward Muslims, Jews, atheists, etc.; his skin color; and his failure to practice the right kind of Christianity (pun intended). One can only suppose that the deniers are Christian.

  23. It’s obvious that anybody who’s as liberal as Obama can’t be a Christian. Even though he’s not as Liberal as Nixon, or arguably Reagan, and not anywhere near as liberal as Jesus Christ. Not even close.

But today’s American Religious Right isn’t about Jesus Christ.

  24. Of course, there are some who might see contrary evidence in Mr. Obama’s respectful behavior toward Muslims, Jews, atheists

Where have I encountered that before?

Oh yeah…Love Thy Enemies. What a radical notion.

  25. The koch sucker “sins”. LMFAO

    Worships the kochs

Has been fukking the WI public ever since absconding with the governor’s office.

This is self-explanatory as, the koch sucker has been stealing every possible right to organize, the right to education and every other thing it can get its slimy tentacles around.

Does this about all of its sneaky actions and, in this article, about the Prez.

It wants to like and suck its way onto OUR White House as it has done with the governor’s office in WI.

  26. @will, YOU made a conscience effort to come here, YOU knew full well what you were doing, the TRUTH for low intelligence individuals, like yourself is a bitter pill to swallow, so stop BIT@HING about grammar and grow up.

  27. …anybody who’s ever watched defense lawyers work know anything about their clients is “ALLEGED”…thus when speaking of Reich-Wingers, the correct term is “…Walkers alleged brain…”

  28. I’m not sure why a person would think E.F.Coleman’s question had anything to do with the first amendment. He simply asked why someone would ask it. He didn’t say someone should not be allowed to ask it. It was a good attempt at trying to sound intellectual though. It’s also an excellent example of how people twist things to try and make somebody look bad when it appears as though they may disagree with your point of view. That usually works to get the uninformed or less intelligent behind you but those who educate themselves and have an ounce of common sense won’t fall for it. You may wanna stick to preaching to the masses who think they deserve 15 bucks an hour for asking “Do you want fries with that?”

  29. You may wanna stick to preaching to the masses who think they deserve 15 bucks an hour for asking “Do you want fries with that?”
Then dumbass you need to ask yourself how taxpayers have to subsidize these companies who refuse to pay a living wage .
Americans are spending $153 billion a year to subsidize McDonald’s and Wal-Mart’s low wage workers

How the minimum wage hurts us all.

How Much Does SNAP Cost? In fiscal year 2014, the federal government spent $76 billion on SNAP. About 92 percent went directly to benefits that households used to purchase food

  30. so you calling Walker nasty names shows that you are a Christian? How about you post anything Christian Obama has done? Jesus said not every one who says Lord Lord will enter the Kingdom of Heaven but only those who do my Fathers will. And again He said you will know them by their fruits. If they do the things Jesus taught then they are Christian if they don’t then they are not. Nice of you to decide to judge Walker because he wouldn’t judge Obama.

  31. yes exactly why was he asked? I think this was a big set up. And he really did not answer. He basically said I don’t know. Which is same as no comment.

  32. Provided healthcare asshole
    John 10:10

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
    Try reading your fairy tales

  33. You are way off the facts here. Being Christian has nothing to do with being liberal or not. It is about claiming Jesus as Saviour and then following His teachings. Jesus said you will know them (Christians) by their fruit. That fruit consist of loving others, working to change others from sinners to Christian, being ready to testify for Him, Doing good for others, ect.. Now tell me where Obama has himself stood and said I am Christian I follow the teaching of Jesus and live them out in my life? Because in all his speaches I have never heard that.

  34. so nice Christian name calling there. And if it is a fairy tale then tell me why you care if Walker said Obama was one or not? Oh and by the way Jesus did say that He came that we could have life and more abundently. But he never told us to let the gov. help the poor, or feed the hungry, or cloth those who need food. He said that was His believers job and that is what Christians do. Wonder how much of his million is Obama giving to do any of those things. You have a great day.

  35. don’t know who shark eyes is but just because Obama sang a religious song does not make him a Christian. Jesus said only those who do my fathers will will enter the kindom of God. Only those who do as Jesus did will be true Christians and only if they do those things as His believers. I mean many non christians sang religious songs.

  36. Easy I am a Christian because I have asked Jesus to forgive me and help me live a life pleasing to Him. I do not just do what ever I want I try to measure all against what it would mean to Jesus if i do this or that. If I find myself out of His will I again ask forgivness and move forward.

  37. no the second to last one does. It says this:

President Obama has served his country with honor and dignity. There have been no scandals during the Obama administration, and the President has served as a shining example of a good family man and Christian.

Shows me that the writer is biased and one sided. That the writer has looked the other way at the many things that have gone on with Obama. Here is a short list: 1.selling guns to criminal which used them to kill police. 2. IRS targeted conservetive groups to deny them of tax exempt status. 3. Lies – like you coverage you can keep it, like your doctor you can keep it.
    4. Bengahzi – it was caused by a film they said but then truth came out and we still have no idea why support was not sent to them. Yeah there has been no scandals. And since when is serving with honor shown by lies. I know lies are not the Christian way. Jesus never lied!!

  38. You freaking sanctimonious a**hole! You are definitely not a “Christian” and neither is slimeball Walker! As far as you claiming that Walker wouldn’t judge President Obama is total BS! You know jacksh*t about Walker. And the nasty name calling…you are so pathetic!!! For the past 7+ years, President Obama has put up with all the nasty name calling that you f*cking “Christians” and all the others on the right could say about him…you are such a loser!!!!
President Obama has shown more class and empathy for the poor and middle class and has tried to help, but keeps getting blocked by you so called “Christians” and the right wing circus! What have you, a so called “Christian”, done to help to poor and middle-class? Going to church and claiming that you are “Christian” means jack!!! Walker has never done anything for the poor and middle-class people of Wisconsin. The fact that you don’t know that proves that you are a FAKE “Christian”!

  39. And how do you the President hasn’t done the same? Maybe because he is black and don’t have an anglo name you feel you have the right to question his faith?
But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
    James 1:6

  40. Really I don’t care other than you racist questioning what the President in his heart believes. But I guess that’s what white privilege is about

  41. And your posts saying,”Jesus said this and Jesus said that” doesn’t make you a “Christian” either! Anyone can read the Bible and quote from it, “Christian” or non-Christian…your point is moot!!

  42. none of the Republicans are doing any of that, so the point is why is their faith not being questioned?

  43. @wade, I got news for you, I’ve read studied the bible from Genesis to Revelations, many times, I’ve done the BIBLE ON CASSETTE many times, I’m saying that, to say this, after reading your posts, it so obvious what trying to pull. You’re a FAKE christian or a new christian who’s making a completely fool out of himself, I have a good idea what game you’re playing. YOU thought by coming to a liberal site, YOU were going to be your golden moment, going into the belly of the BEAST! RIGHT? you REALLY think you’re a soldier for Christ, SORRY, you just proved yourself a FOOL! You’re just trying to show boat! SORRY, YOU aren’t ready! I know ALL the little tricks phony supposedly christians like YOU play. @wade, you’re embarrassing!, your juvenile attempt of self GLORY didn’t work! The only thing you accomplished was, allowing NON believers to witness a CLOWN, thus validating their reasons for running away from organized religion as fast as possible! @wade, YOU FAIL. grow up son.

  44. Wade Hall you bear false witness.

    1. Fast and Furious- a scandal that was fueled by: Arizona Republicans who wouldn’t let the Feds do their job.
    2. The IRS also investigated Liberal Tax Exempt Organizations. And you know what? The only one to lose their tax exemption- was a liberal one.
    3. Lies- Republicans have done nothing BUT lie.
    4. Bengahzi – Even the Republicans have come out and stated- there is no scandal to be found there.
I know lies are not the Christian way. Jesus never lied!!

Actually. Jesus did lie- many many times:

And you Wade- are also a liar. Because you willingly pass lies as the truth.

  45. “So, I’m rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people…”

    Illinois State Senator Barack Obama
    April 27, 2004

  46. There is no Christian bone in Walker’s body…..”we are our brothers” keeper means nothing to this Koch puppet! He worships strange idols, the greedy, despicable Kochs,

  47. There is no religious test to be President so whether the President is a Christian or not is irrelevant on the whole.

That said, our country seems obsessed with the religious beliefs of others and because of this, politicians get asked questions about their faith and about the faith of their fellow politicians all the time.

Now, had Pres. Obama never spoken of his faith or shown any outward sign of faith, perhaps Mr. Walker could get away with saying he doesn’t know if Mr. Obama is a Christian or not. But his answers are weasel-like and he is being disingenuous to the extreme.

Mr. Obama has professed his faith time and again and he has been observed practicing his faith. He has not stood on a mountain and shouted for all the world to hear, “I am a Christian!” But he has demonstrated that fact.

Walker is just trying to revive the “Obama is a Muslim” debate without actually saying the words, but it just comes off like a hustle.

  48. Why would YOU get your knickers into a twist over a simple question to another question Mr. Peligro?

    Project much?
