Sick And Tired Of Republican Nonsense Obama Calls Senate Republicans “The Crazies”

President Obama is clearly sick of Republican games and drama. At an event in Nevada, the President called Senate Republicans “the crazies.”

At a Democratic event in Nevada, President Obama said:

It’s hard for me to express how much I love Harry Reid, but it’s easier to do it in a room of people who love Harry Reid. Harry and I drove over here together and we were doing a little reminiscing, and then figuring out how we’re going to deal with the crazies in terms of managing some problems. And then we talked about riding off into the sunset together.

Everything I’ve accomplished, I’ve accomplished because Harry Reid was there by my side. And I am forever grateful for his friendship and his strength, because the thing about Harry is he’s a great politician but he’s also a man with a lot of backbone and is willing to do hard things when it’s required, and that’s what you want out of a political leader.

President Obama called Mitch McConnell and his Senate Republicans crazies. When one examines the facts, Obama has a point. The Senate Republicans are trying to kill a diplomatic deal on Iran’s nuclear program to pursue more military action in the Middle East.

Senate Republicans are attempting to defund Planned Parenthood, take away health care from 30 million Americans, and are threatening to shutdown the government and cause a default, because they are pursuing an ideological agenda that is detached from reality.

Earlier this month, Obama called out Republicans for aligning themselves with the death to America extremists in Iran who oppose the nuclear agreement.

Obama has had to put up with Republican manufactured crisis and drama all through his presidency, and it is clear that he is sick of it. The President isn’t holding back anymore. He is letting his feelings of disgust be known.

One of the biggest problems in American politics is that the country only has one party that is interested in governing. Republicans are more interested in using their Congressional majority to cater to the billionaires who fund their campaigns, and running bogus investigations than they are serving the American people.

As the nation steels itself for another month of Republican drama, and dysfunction as the country is about to be pushed to the brink of a financial catastrophe, President Obama is telling it like it is.

Republicans are crazy, and it has been his job to prevent the crazies from destroying the country.

  1. In 3,2,1…that’s Un presidential! ,why is he being mean, name calling instead of reaching out, a divider!, BLAH, blah, blah…

  2. Democrats only have themselves to blame. you listen to your suited Washington consultants and ran away from the Presidents accomplishments and lost.

The ads write themselves stop trying kumbaya and tell the truth about these thugs.

I dont care about your family how much you love whatever god you claim to believe talk about what we have done for the people. Talk about how we gave you healthcare and jobs. Talk about we will not send your children to war. What you have done since 2010 you should be tried and hanged for your incompetence

  3. ya know… we’ve seen some new polls that confirm what I’ve said before…

the masses are asses… low information voters voting again and again against their best interests…

I think what keeps being overlooked in polls is the conventional wisdom ‘that all politics is local’…

if you ask a general question like are you unhappy with the Republican Party you get an answer that is yes…

but try asking a more specific question like are you happy with YOUR representative and again the answer most likely will be yes…

the dichotomy is that most people like their reps they’re just unhappy with everyone else’s…

someone in Iowa may like Steve King or Texas may like Louis Ghomert but intensely dislike Boehner or McConnell and hence the displeasure with the party in general but keep voting for their own…

  4. …now to get Harry to appoint and anoint an ALL AMERICAN successor…better to battle crazies, for all whose allegiance is to Nutty-yoyo on either side o’ the aisle cannot be trusted…

  5. Yeah, but we know it’s all sore-loser poutrage from “the crazies”, so we don’t pay them any mind – or as much as we’d pay to temper-tantrum-prone three year olds.

On the other hand, U.S. M$M will take their dreck and try to promote it in order to give them credibility.

  6. Well, he is calling IT as he and the rest of saner America sees it: They (Republicans ) ARE Bat-shit C-R-A-Z-EEEE !

Just look at their antics over the past 6+ years. Even the NEW Republicans who went to Congress came from the crazy dugout and continued with the shenanigans, AND brought dysfunction and craziness to the floor/game. How can you miss it? The President HAD to get it off his chest and alluded to it, just like we all do. And that is tame compared to the shit that they have called him during his tenure. Yet kept his composure and dignity. As a human being his reaction and observation is spot on. They ARE fu*king crazy. Either Obama drove them that way or they are naturally like that. Seen any crazy Democrats lately? I don’t think so.

  7. Since 2008 the only agenda the GOP had was destroy President Obama at ALL COST, no matter the price the American people paid, that didn’t work.
So now the agenda is not to improve American lives it is to destroy Hillary Clinton before 2016.
I wonder why they are not going after Bernie Sanders? Isn’t he a threat to the GOP also?

  8. Why don’t they just publicly label themselves as “THE WHITE SUPREMACIST PARTY” and campaign and legislate on that basis?

It would alleviate their coded dog-whistle language….and it would be more honest.

  9. That’s my President. Gosh, I love President Obama so much. Just use the movie “The Crazies” as an ad and that’s basically describing the republican party.

  10. Good Job Harry!

Thank you for helping the President & doing the job the GOP Non-Representatives have failed to do.

The Non-representatives are too busy linning their own pockets with their super-packs & running for multiple offices at the same time, eating the free lunches that we provide, while failing to do anything for the working stiff.

Mr. Harry, you will be missed.

  11. The problem is, “REAL MEN” don’t vote for Democrats. I’d bet, if they tested some these “angry white men”, they’d find it’s simply a matter of testosterone poisoning.

  12. What wasn’t mentioned was the complicit press; the bought off media is owned lock stock and Barrel by the billionaire oligarchists; fomenting stupid ideas.

  13. …tell THIS old Sailor he’s not a man…I’ll laugh in your face!!!
…last I heard, a “man” was defined as a mature human male…where the GD “F”ing Hell is ANY maturity in the whole ‘f’ing Goppie machine OR for Gods sake; thier HUMANITY???
    {{{Magic 8-Ball says “Never seen”}}}

  14. Thing is, there isn’t a one of these lunatics in either chamber that President Obama can even TALK with, at least not publicly. Even the few Republicans in Congress that aren’t disturbed/insane are cowards that won’t deal directly with him out of fear of being labeled a RINO and ostracized from the crackpot caucus.
Jim Jeffords, Arlen Specter, Lincoln Chaffee, Charlie Crist all had to switch parties.

But here’s the other part of the equation: Senate Dem’s are also mostly spineless, as they won’t back up this president by challenging their ‘friends’ among the ‘R’s ( the few sane ones ) to cut the crap. Perhaps many have tried to, but also have stopped having anything approaching even feigned civility with the wimps.

LBJ had Everett Dirksen, and there were others. Not sure if Carter had anyone in the ‘R’s he could talk with. Maybe Dole or Specter. Clinton did have Dole that he could back-channel with, probably Specter, too.

Not this crowd, though. Beware the Obama …

  15. Absolutely spot on Shadowolf. We are on the very same page regarding the GOP. From my Twitter profile:

    Steve
    @bouldernative1

“Progressive stranded in a red state. Yup, I’m one of those bitter, old white guys! Bitter at the hate, bigotry and stupidity that is today’s GOP. #UniteBlue”

  16. Whoa, for someone who rails against the plutocracy you sure don’t have no issue with working for Philip Anschutz
Methings you are nothing more than a ratfuker

  17. Victor,oh Victor, have you taken your meds today? you are a part of the RepubliKKKan problem and the prime reason you are abetting the Dumbos & voting us into harmsway.GET A LIFE!

  18. Please do not put words in Obama’s mouth. He did not specify which crazies. It MIGHT be Congress, but it might instead be the NY Times, or FOX News, or any number of extreme pundits and bloggers, or Netanyahu, or Donald Trump, or terrorists, etc. but he didn’t specify.
