Trump Openly Mocks The GOP’s Inability To Stop Him In Nevada Victory Speech

Last updated on July 17th, 2023 at 06:46 pm

During his victory speech in Nevada, Donald Trump claimed that he might not need two more months to clinch the Republican nomination and that the Republican Party is making excuses to stop him.

Trump’s speech was the usual unhinged talking points, but the thin skinned billionaire couldn’t resist taking some shots at his own party.

Trump said, “We’ve had some great numbers coming out of Texas. And amazing numbers coming out of Tennessee, and Georgia, and Arkansas, and then in a couple of weeks later, Florida. We love Florida. We’re going to very well in Ohio. We’re beating the governor. That’s good. It’s always nice to be beating the governor. And Michigan, the whole thing, I mean it’s going to be an amazing two months. We might not even need the two months, folks to be honest. So tonight, we had forty-five, forty-six percent, and tomorrow you’ll be hearing, you know if they could just take the other candidates and add ’em up, because if you could add ’em, because you know the other candidates amount to fifty-five percent. They keep forgetting that when people drop out, we’re going to get a lot of votes.”

Trump has won Nevada, and he is mocking the people who are trying to stop him from winning the nomination. A Republican Party that has been a state of open warfare with itself has found a way to become even more toxic. The door is open for Donald Trump to become the leader of a political party that doesn’t want him to win.

Marco Rubio may end up finishing second to Trump, but the reality is that there is a lot of daylight between Trump and Rubio. The odds of Ted Cruz or Rubio catching Trump on March 1 are slim to none. Establishment Republicans will rally behind Rubio and pour money down the political sinkhole the Florida senator’s campaign, but Republicans created Trump then they chose not to take him seriously.

Donald Trump isn’t winning the Republican primary. Much like a warlord in a country ravaged by civil war, Trump filling a power vacuum while the GOP destroys itself.
