Donald Trump Jr. Plagiarized Convention Speech As Trump Plagiarism Epidemic Grows

The Daily Show has uncovered more Trump convention plagiarism, as it has been revealed that Donald Trump Jr. plagiarized part of his speech.

Trump Jr. said, “Our schools used to be an elevator to the middle class. Now they’re stalled on the ground floor. They’re like Soviet-era department stores that are run for the benefit of the clerks and not the customers, for the teachers and administrators and not the students.”

In a May article in The American Conservative titled Trump Vs. The New Class F.H. Buckley wrote, “What should be an elevator to the upper class is stalled on the ground floor. Part of the fault for this may be laid at the feet of the system’s entrenched interests: the teachers’ unions and the higher-education professoriate. Our schools and universities are like the old Soviet department stores whose mission was to serve the interests of the sales clerks and not the customers. Why the sales clerks should want to keep things that way is perfectly understandable.”

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to put two and two together. Donald Trump Jr. and his speechwriters saw the American Conservative article because it was about Trump and they plagiarized it for Trump Jr.’s speech.

Interestingly, it was Donald Trump Jr. who blamed speech writers for Melania Trump’s plagiarism, “I imagine there’s people who shouldn’t have done that or who should have cleaned it up better.”

The Trumps can blame the speechwriters all they want, but they are the people who hired the speechwriters. Donald Jr. and Melania Trump are responsible for their own plagiarism.
There is nothing real about the Trump Republican convention. There is a sense that the Trump family is trying to pull a con on American voters, and with each act of plagiarism, the idea that the convention in Cleveland is all one giant hustle is being confirmed in the minds of many Americans.
