During her acceptance speech at the Democratic convention, Hillary Clinton warned that anything could set Trump off, including tweets. It was an obvious trap set by the Clinton campaign that Donald Trump fell right into.
Video of Clinton setting the trap:
While accepting the Democratic nomination, Clinton said, “Imagine him in the Oval Office facing a real crisis. A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons.”
Clinton was baiting Trump, and the Republican nominee responded in the most clueless way possible.
Trump proved Clinton’s point by tweeting:
Crooked Hillary said that I "couldn't handle the rough and tumble of a political campaign." Really,I just beat 16 people and am beating her!

Donald Trump has no political survival instincts. Here is a man who is not only unqualified to have the nuclear codes, but he probably shouldn’t be trusted with your car keys while you run into the store.
Hillary Clinton set Donald Trump up perfectly. Any competent nominee for president would have avoided taking that bait, but Trump isn’t a competent presidential nominee. He is a man who thinks that his reality television persona and Twitter account make him qualified to be president.
Trump didn’t just fall into Hillary Clinton’s trap. He saw the trap and dove in head first. The Republican nominee has no impulse control, and he made Hillary Clinton’s point for her about why he is unfit to be president.
