Speaker of the House Paul Ryan put his political party ahead of the nation’s vets by telling a local Wisconsin radio station that he is going to continue to support Trump even after the Republican nominee attacked a Gold Star family.

Here is what Ryan said while speaking on the Jerry Bader Show:

Speaker Ryan referred to Trump’s attacks as a “strange run”, but did criticize his party’s nominee for not attacking Hillary Clinton enough:

Paul Ryan is a lot more like Donald Trump than he wants to admit. Rep. Ryan (R-WI) lacks the backbone and empathy skills to break with the Republican nominee. Speaker Ryan is showing that he suffers from many of the same character deficiencies as the Republican nominee.

By continuing to endorse and support Donald Trump, Paul Ryan is only thinking about himself and his own career. Ryan is concerned that by breaking with Trump, he could lose his House majority, and hurt his chances in a potential future White House run.

Ryan doesn’t care about vets or Gold Star families. He is only interested in his own future and political career. Speaker Ryan thinks that he needs the Trump, so he is going to continue to criticize Trump’s words and behavior while supporting the nominee.

The nation’s vets and Gold Star families should be insulted by Ryan’s continued support for Trump. With each passing day, Paul Ryan is showing our veterans that he a man cut from the same cloth as Donald Trump, an unfit to lead this country.

Speaker Of The House Paul Ryan is going down with the sinking Trump ship.
