While Donald Trump was speaking, Iowa Republican officials came on stage to stand with him, with one notable exception. Sen. Chuck Grassley refused to be photographed with Trump.

Sen. Chuck Grassley is blocking President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland, but he refuses to be photographed with the man who he is holding the Supreme Court vacancy open for.
If Sen. Grassley thinks Trump is qualified to appoint a Supreme Court justice, why won’t he have his picture taken with Trump in Iowa?
The answer to that question is that Sen. Grassley is running for reelection, and Donald Trump is completely toxic. During his speech at the same event that Trump appeared at Grassley bragged about obstructing Obama’s nominee, but he is so afraid of Trump costing him his seat in November that he won’t get his picture taken or stand beside him.
In politics, actions speak louder than words. And Chuck Grassley’s actions suggest that the Republican Party believes that Donald Trump is a hazardous loser.
