The leaked audio tape of Donald Trump bragging about sexually assaulting women is the final straw that will take down every Republican who supported Trump.
Audio of Trump bragging about sexual assault:
The audio from a Trump appearance on Access Hollywood leaves no wiggle room for Republicans to defend their nominee.
Here are some of the quotes from Trump via The Washington Post:
At that point in the audio, Trump and Bush appear to notice Arianne Zucker, the actress who is waiting to escort them into the soap opera set.
“Your girl’s hot as s—, in the purple,” says Bush, who’s now a co-host of NBC’s “Today” show.
“Whoa!” Trump says. “Whoa!”
“I’ve gotta use some tic tacs, just in case I start kissing her,” Trump says.“You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait.”
“And when you’re a star they let you do it,” Trump says. “You can do anything.”
“Whatever you want,” says another voice, apparently Bush’s.
“Grab them by the p—y,” Trump says. “You can do anything.”
Also on the tape, Trump bragged about trying to seduce a married woman months after he had married his current wife Melania. The audio is loaded with Trump bragging in vulgar terms about how he can get away with groping and sexually assaulting women because he is rich and famous.
The Trump tape goes beyond Donald Trump and the presidential election. It speaks volumes about the Republican Party that they would allow this man to be their presidential nominee. Every single elected Republican in the United States who endorse, support, or announced that they will vote for Trump should be required to answer for their nominee.
Speaker of the House Paul Ryan will be campaigning with Trump in Wisconsin tomorrow. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, not only endorsed Trump, but spoke at his Republican convention. Sen. Kelly Ayotte recently called Trump a role model for children during the New Hampshire Senate debate.
Donald Trump is a vile, vulgar, disgusting human being who views women as nothing more than objects. This much was already known, but the American people must punish the party that enabled, nominated, and supports Trump.
Republicans must be held accountable for Donald Trump.
