One candidate clearly outclassed the other during the final presidential debate. Here are the winners and losers of the third presidential debate.

Winners:

1). Hillary Clinton- Former Sec. Clinton had one mission in the third presidential debate, and that was to stay on message, and not fall into Donald Trump’s mudslinging. Clinton once again showed that she is an expert in getting under Donald Trump’s skin.

Clinton was strong on the Supreme Court. She destroyed Trump on immigration. Clinton handled Trump on trade and got the Republican nominee to admit that he uses Chinese steel instead of American steel in his building. Hillary Clinton was able to talk to the voters while knowing when to step back and allow Trump to act like a crazy man.

This was a very good debate for Hillary Clinton. Trump substituted conspiracy theories for policy, while Hillary Clinton stayed the course. Clinton looked like a president, sounded like a president, and tore Trump’s claims that the election will be rigged to pieces.

While Trump sounded like a rambling lunatic, Hillary Clinton showed that she is the only candidate in this race who is competent and fit to be the next president.

2). Viewers and Voters-
This will hopefully be the last time that the American people will be forced to listen to Donald Trump, or take him seriously again. America is suffering from a serious case of Trump fatigue, and the third debate was the last time that the American people will have to listen to Trump’s conspiracy theories ever again.

Sarah Jones and Jason Easley discuss the winners and losers from the third debate:

Losers:

1). Donald Trump- The consensus was that the best outcome for Trump is that he would stop the bleeding. It is uncertain whether or not he was able to clear the lowest bar imaginable. Trump completely self-destructed and defended Putin in a prolonged rant. Trump claimed that the stories of every woman who has accused him of sexual assault had been debunked. Trump lied and claimed that 100% of his foundation’s money is spent on charity.

Trump started the debate by speaking softly, but he quickly, as in 3 minutes into the debate, descended into whining about being insulted by Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Trump zig-zagged between an unhinged conspiracy theorist and self-absorbed billionaire stuck in an endless pity party.

The third debate was Trump’s last chance, and he completely blew it.

2). Chris Wallace- The Fox Newser could leave his Fox News ways at the door. Wallace read edited Clinton quotes, claimed that the Obama recovery is the slowest since 1949, and quoted Republican talking points about the Clinton Foundation. Wallace also lost control of the debate. The candidates were allowed to talk over each other constantly, and the debate format of open discussion was a disaster.

Chris Wallace was easily the worst of the four moderators that participated in the three 2016 presidential debates.
