While campaigning in Raleigh, NC, Clinton made a direct appeal for voters to defeat Sen. Richard Burr, and send Democratic challenger Deborah Ross to the US Senate:

With Trump already potentially depressing Republican turnout, this is the last thing that Republicans needed. Hillary Clinton has always mentioned the other Democratic candidates on the ballot at her rallies, but on Saturday in Pennsylvania, and Sunday in North Carolina, she devoted more time to making an appeal for the Democratic challengers who are attempting to defeat incumbent Republican Senators.

The fears that the Republican Party had when Trump won the nomination are all coming true. Trump has proven to be a disaster at the top of the ticket. The party has little money, no unity, and is lacking enthusiasm. Republican incumbents don’t want to be seen with the presidential nominee, and Trump has done nothing to help them. Republicans are watching Clinton turn red states like Georgia, Arizona, and Texas competitive and can do little to stop her.

Nearly two weeks before election day, Hillary Clinton is turning her attention to helping the Democrats take back the Senate. Short of losing the House, what is unfolding in 2016 is the worst case scenario for the Republican Party.

Hillary Clinton is coming for their swing state Senate seats, and the GOP might not be able to do a single thing about it.
