Senate Democrats Need Your Help to Fight the Obamacare Repeal GOP Death Panels

Senate Democrats will be fighting as hard as they can Monday night to fight what they dubbed “the Republican plan to make America sick again” by repealing Obamacare, also known as the Orwellian Death Panels Republicans have been warning you about for years. Except this time they are real.

Real people, real children, will die without Obamacare. This is not a political issue, this is a matter of life and death.

Senate Democrats are going to hold the Senate floor late into the night and use Facebook Live (HERE) to bring the people into the process.

“We cannot allow Republicans to make America sick again by repealing the ACA without a replacement plan that will ensure millions of Americans are not kicked off of their insurance, seniors do not face cuts to their Medicare, women are not denied access to care because of their gender, and many other groups, including Medicaid recipients, rural hospitals and more, do not suffer. Right now, the GOP’s plan would put the insurance companies back in the driver’s seat and create chaos in the system instead of affordable care,” Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer said.

“Tonight, we are taking to the floor and social media to denounce this plan and warn the American people that the Democrats will be fighting tooth and nail against this potentially catastrophic move,” the Democrat continued.

Republicans have been saying for seven years that they were going to repeal and replace Obamacare, but they have never been able to come up with a replace plan. Their attempts have only proven that they never read Obamacare, don’t know how it works, and never had a real objection to it that wouldn’t nullify the entire thing. Yes, there have to be subsidies in order to make it mandatory, unless Republicans want to go with universal healthcare, which they inaccurately accused Obamacare of being.

Democrats can’t do this alone. They need to make a stir, they need people to wake up and pay attention.

People say they want their Obamacare, and if that’s true, they need to show up tonight. It’s a huge mistake to sit back and grouse about Democrats not doing enough, because they can’t do this alone. They are in the minority, and soon the speed bump in the White House will be gone. It is up to the people now. This is something they can do, a place to channel their energy.

If you care about Obamacare, Medicaid or Medicare — or just your fellow citizens, the time to start making a lot of noise is now. Share the Facebook live, leave comments, call in, write your own story about Obamacare – make the media hear you the way they heard the Tea Party in 2010, but without the violence.

Soundbites with compelling visuals and good stories are what the media pays attention to, so make a stir to be heard. People’s lives are at stake.
