Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway showed up to Donald Trump’s inauguration wearing a head-turning $3,600 Gucci outfit that she called “Trump revolutionary wear” was roundly mocked by Twitter.
“Kellyanne Conway dressed as the era Trump wants to take America back to,” The Daily Show tweeted.

Conservatives love to wear costumes, so this shouldn’t be a surprise and will probably go over well with the right. It’s just the rest of the country, which is the majority, that is side-eying Conway’s choice.
We do hope that the Trump administration understands that the spirit behind the costumes and props matters more than the appearance.
