Melissa McCarthy’s popular Sean Spicer impression will return as the comedian has been tapped to host one of the final four episodes of SNL’s successful season.
The Hollywood Reporter has the details, “All four of the season’s final hosts are internal favorites at SNL. As for McCarthy, this marks her fifth time hosting yet only her latest appearance this season. She’s been popping up in one-off skits for the past few months as the volatile White House press secretary.”

Melissa McCarthy’s popular Sean Spicer impression is certain to return as the comedian has been tapped to host one of the final four episodes of SNL’s successful season.
McCarthy has been at the top of her game this season with a dead-on impression of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer. It has been reported that President Trump hates the impression of Spicer and that he dislikes the fact that his press secretary is being satirized by a woman.
The Spicer impression has struck a nerve in the White House as the President has made it known to his friends that he doesn’t like his people looking “weak.”
McCarthy’s impression of Spicer has been a winner with viewers and critics alike. If the show follows the same format as when Alec Baldwin hosted and did his popular Trump impression, McCarthy’s Spicer sketch will happen after Weekend Update to give the host time to get into the proper makeup and costume.
No matter when it airs, viewers will be in for a treat and hopefully more visual aides when Melissa McCarthy brings Sean Spicer back to SNL.
