As the debate was about to end on the health care bill, the House abruptly went into recess as President Trump asked Speaker Paul Ryan has pulled the health care bill, because it doesn’t have enough votes to pass.
Ashley Parker of The Washington Post tweeted:
On background (and fixing typo): House leadership is pulling the bill. They just don't have the votes.

President Trump just called me. Still on phone.
"We just pulled it," he tells me.— Robert Costa (@costareports) March 24, 2017
By pulling the bill off of the floor, Ryan is trying to save Republicans from killing what he claims is their only attempt at repealing and replacing Obamacare. This does not mean that the bill is dead, or the fight is over. The battle will not be won until the bill is voted on and defeated on the House floor.
CBS News is reporting that Trump called Ryan and asked him to pull the bill:
Our @CBSNews White House and Capitol Hill reporters confirm, President Trump called Speaker Ryan today and asked him to pull the bill.

Instead of facing a humiliating defeat, President Trump took his ball and went home.
The Republican Party is now in chaos, and at the center of the storm is president that has shown America why he and his party are incapable of governing.
