Appearing on MSNBC’s Morning Joe this morning, outspoken Trump critic Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) told Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough that she has no respect for Donald Trump and that she has not attended any ceremonial activities because,
“I don’t honor him. I don’t respect this president… I don’t think that he deserves to be president of this great country.”

Waters went on to say that to Brzezinski’s entertaining and mischievous Cheshire-cat smile,
“I am very concerned about him, and I really think he’s dangerous. And Joe, I don’t know if you’ve seen the six-part series that the LA Times wrote about him. It is scathing. I’ve never seen editorials like this before in my life. And so, we can continue to talk about him as if this is normal. This is abnormal what we’re experiencing with this president and I have taken him on as you know and the millennials have joined me and so I continue to talk about his ties to Russia and what I think all of that means…and I believe if we have the credible investigations that it will lead to his impeachment.”
Maxine Waters is right about Donald Trump and this isn’t the first time she has taken him to task. She has slammed on previous occasions Trump’s “Kremlin Klan” and his foreign policy incompetence, leading her on that occasion to say “I wish that our foreign affairs experts could somehow get his ear and at least tell him to shut up, to just stop it.â€
She is also right that he is dangerous and she is right to be concerned, having called Trump on a previous occasion “very dangerous” because of his reckless threats against North Korea.
Donald Trump by his own actions has shown that he is neither deserving of respect nor our honor because as Waters alludes, Trump was elected not by the American people but by Vladimir Putin. As Waters says, he must and will be impeached if have a credible investigation.
