Senate aides are reporting that after watching the morning news shows, a.k.a. Fox and Friends, Donald Trump reversed course on the government funding bill and is now calling for a government shutdown.

Here’s the reason why Trump changed his position:
Sen D Aide:"Pres Trump apparently watched the morning TV shows describing the…deal as a loss for him &decided to call for a govt shutdown"

Sen Dem Aide continues: "That was sadly one of the least bizarre things he has said in the last 24 hours.” https://t.co/63Zqyz5yEK

Trump is an avid viewer of Fox and Friends. The President watches at least six hours of cable news per day, and half of it is Fox and Friends, so if someone on Fox said that the deal is a loss for Trump, the President is ready to trigger a government shutdown basically because Fox News told him to do so. Trump watches Fox beginning at dawn each day, so the odds are good that Trump saw criticism of the deal on Fox, flipped out and called for the government to be shutdown.
The story is more proof that the most powerful influence on Trump’s policy is what he sees on Fox News.
