A new Quinnipiac University poll revealed that passing a bill that raised the cost of health care and took away coverage from millions has made Speaker Paul Ryan the most disliked leader in Congress.

Here is the bad news for Republicans from the latest Quinnipaiac University Poll :

American voters disapprove 70 – 21 percent of the way Republicans in Congress are doing their job and disapprove 63 – 28 percent of the way Democrats in Congress are doing their job.

Favorability ratings for congressional leaders are all negative:

27 – 54 percent for House Speaker Paul Ryan;
30 – 50 percent for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi;
15 – 47 percent for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell;
29 – 34 percent for Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

Paul Ryan’s unfavorable rating was 40% in April and has shot up 14 points in about a month. Ryan is even less popular than Donald Trump, and the reason for America’s intense dislike for the Speaker can be directly tied to The American Health Care Act. The same Quinnipiac poll found that by a more than 2 to 1 margin, voters were less likely to vote for a candidate who supported the American Health Care Act (44%-20%).

Voters know exactly who is responsible for trying to wreck their health insurance, and they are sending a strong signal that they will punish them at the polls in 2018. Republicans think that they can run against Nancy Pelosi in 2018, but the real villain who voters can’t stand is Paul Ryan. Democrats need to weld every Republican House candidate to Ryan and Trumpcare.

By trying to drive up the cost and take away health care, Speaker Ryan has made himself the most hated political leader in America.
