Those inside the White House are saying that the countdown clock that all the cable news channels are displaying until James Comey’s testimony has got Trump so freaked out that he has gone on a Twitter bender of crazy.
Axios reported, “One top adviser to the President told Axios that the early morning hours are a persistent problem. Trump is alone in the residence, often filled with grievance, frequently watching TV and popping off at whatever is on screen….While the effects of Trump’s tweeting are messy, the cause is clear. With the cable channels running countdown clocks to Jim Comey’s testimony on Thursday, the folks inside know this is all-out war for survival. It explains the tone, at least, of the tweetstorm.”
Trump is freaking out over James Comey’s upcoming testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday, so he is taking out his rage on anything that he sees on cable news. Never has the country had a president who couldn’t be trusted to watch television alone. Donald Trump is behaving like someone who belongs in supervised care, not the Oval Office.
The president has been on a social media frenzy since Saturday night. His social media statements have done damage to his administration in numerous ways. Attacking London’s mayor caused the US ambassador to the UK to break with the president, and the case for his Muslim ban was probably lost for good on Monday morning.

Trump is tweeting about everything other Comey, but it shouldn’t be a surprise that the driver of his frenzy is a ticking clock on a screen counting down the moments until testimony that could destroy his presidency.
