Trump Has A Breakdown In Ohio And Fumes Because Democrats Won’t Help Him Destroy Health Care

While in Ohio, Trump fumed and complained that Democrats are giving him no help on health care, and sounded like he was on the verge of a breakdown because Republicans are going to have to do health care alone.

Video:

Trump said, “A lot of the great Senators and they happen to be Republicans because we’re having no help from Democrats. No help. It’s only obstruction from the Democrats. The Democrats are destroying healthcare in this country. We have had no help. We will get no votes. No matter what we do. If we gave you the greatest plan in the history of the world, you would have no Democratic vote. It’s all going to be Republicans or bust.”

The President seems to think that the American people are stupid. Poll after poll has shown that voters know who is to blame for taking away their health care and making it more expensive, and it isn’t the Democrats.

There is a simple reason why Democrats won’t support the Republican plan. There are zero Democrats among the thirteen Senators who are drafting the Senate version of the healthcare bill. There were zero Democrats allowed to participate in the House writing of the American Health Care Act. If Trump and the Republicans wanted Democratic support, they should have included Democrats in the drafting process.

What the President’s outburst in Ohio demonstrates is that even when he isn’t on Twitter, Trump’s behavior is the same. The President bashes Democrats, freezes them out of the process, accuses them of destroying healthcare, then expects their support.

Trump’s methodology is a recipe for failure, and it also suggests a thought process that is illogical and broken.

The Russia scandal is always looming over Trump, and his comments on health care show that he is cracking under the pressure.
