Beneath all of the faux outrage and trying to play the former Senator card, Sessions didn’t flatly deny that he never met with Russians without reporting it, and he tried to parse exactly what he might have talked about with the Russians.
Sessions tried to make his anger about honor instead of facts. The fact of the matter is that Jeff Sessions talked about honesty, but his statement wasn’t straightforward. Jeff Sessions thought that he could hide the truth behind anger and victimization, but the song and dance blew up in his face.
