The British government has been alerted that Trump may sneak into Britain with only 24 hours notice because he is trying to avoid giving protesters time to organize against his visit.
The Times (UK) reported, “Senior government officials say they expect the American president to make an unscheduled stop at his Aberdeenshire golf course as part of his trip to Europe to attend France’s Bastille Day celebrations on July 14. Theresa May’s team are on standby for Trump to visit Downing Street as well. It is understood that any visit would be confirmed only 24 hours in advance so anti-Trump protesters did not have time to disrupt his visit.”
The President Of The United States is so unpopular that he can’t give more than 24 notice before he visits the US’s closest ally because his presence will trigger mass public protests.
The Trump White House continues to demonstrate a total lack of courage. The President Of The United States should never have to tiptoe in through the back door. The President should be a leader and face the protests. He should not hide, or try to not give the protesters enough time to get organized.
A president that ducks from conflict is not a president that can be trusted to lead in a crisis. If Trump wants to avoid protesters, he should try being a leader a leader inspires applause instead of protest.
