Jared Kushner tried to save his father in law’s troubled presidency by blaming Democrats for the Russia sandal in a statement to reporters.

Kushner said that all of his actions were proper, and he didn’t collude with Russia. Kushner also claimed that he didn’t know of anyone who colluded with the campaign. Trump’s son in law echoed Trump’s claim that the scandal is a Democratic excuse for losing the election.
Jared Kushner said, “Donald Trump had a better message and ran a smarter campaign, and that is why he won. Suggesting otherwise ridicules those who voted for him.”
Kushner also went out of his way to claim that he never relied on Russian money to fund his businesses, so it would appear that Kushner is trying to create some daylight between himself and his in-laws.
Jared Kushner mostly stuck to the family line. The Russia scandal is nothing. He had no improper contacts with Russians, and it is all an excuse from Democrats because they lost to a better campaign.
Kushner’s statement was aimed at holding on to Trump’s base. All that was missing was a claim of fake news and an attack on the media. The Trump presidency is fighting for its survival, and they are hoping that they can rally their supporters by blaming Democrats for the Russia scandal.
It’s a desperate play from a White House that is quickly running out of options.
