House Republicans Demand A New Special Counsel To Investigate Obama and Hillary Clinton

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee are demanding a second special counsel be appointed to investigate former President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

The Republicans wrote, “The unbalanced, uncertain, and seemingly unlimited focus of the special counsel’s investigation has led many of our constituents to see a dual standard of justice that benefits only the powerful and politically well-connected. For this reason, we call on you to appoint a second special counsel to investigate a plethora of matters connected to the 2016 election and its aftermath, including actions taken by previously public figures like Attorney General Loretta Lynch, FBI Director James Comey, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.”

The letter is part of the Trump strategy for getting rid of the Russia investigation. Republicans on the Judiciary Committees in the House and Senate are arguing that the really isn’t about Trump and Russia, but Clinton and Obama. The Republicans are trying to revive Clinton’s emails, because they, like their president, are trying to use Hillary Clinton to distract from the Russia scandal.

The point is to deflect attention away from Trump and blame the Democrats for the President’s potential collusion with Russia.

Republicans have nothing else in the playbook, but to blame Obama and shout Clinton scandal.

But Barack Obama isn’t the president, and Hillary Clinton is a private citizen.

The dusty old blame Obama and Clinton ploy won’t work this time. Donald Trump is the president, and whether they like it or not, Republicans own the Russia scandal.
