Trump has been threatening to withhold payments for ACA subsidies from insurance companies, but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is signaling a move towards a bipartisan health care bill.
CBS News reported:
A week after an attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act failed, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says he’d consider a bipartisan effort to continue payments to insurers to avert a costly rattling of health insurance markets.
McConnell told reporters Saturday there is “still a chance” the Senate could revive the measure to repeal and replace “Obamacare,” but he acknowledged the window for that is rapidly closing.
Mitch McConnell doesn’t want to say that Obamacare repeal is dead, but if it isn’t dead, it is on life support and fading fast. A bipartisan bill to guarantee the CSR payments to the insurance companies could move quickly through Congress, and there remains zero indication that Obamacare repeal could pass the Senate.

An out of it president is clinging to his dream of repealing Obamacare while his own party is in the process of moving on. If Congress approves the bipartisan bill by a margin that would override a presidential veto, Trump may have no other choice but to sign the bill.
Whether Trump realizes it or not, his dream of repealing Obamacare is fading fast. Mitch McConnell is moving on from failing Trump’s desperate effort to score a legislative win.
