Republicans Are Getting Desperate And Threatening To Expel Roy Moore From The Senate If He Wins

The chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Sen. Cory Gardner (R-CO) is demanding that Roy Moore is expelled from the Senate if he wins the Alabama special election after a new accuser has come forward to accuse Moore of trying to rape her when she was underage.

Here is the statement from Gardner:

The majority line has gone from if the allegations are true Moore has to go to Moore has to go to if Moore wins we will expel him. There is a growing sense of panic among Republicans that if Roy Moore wins, they are going to be defined nationally in 2018 and beyond as the party of pedophiles. Of course, most of the GOP had no issue with being the party of sexual assault in 2016, but with Trump’s poll numbers in the dumpster, and having just gotten their heads handed to them last Tuesday in state and local elections, Republicans can see the writing on the wall.

Roy Moore is a creature of the Republican Party. Republicans gave Moore the environment that he needed to grow. Whether they can successfully get rid of him or not, the Republican Party owns Roy Moore. The party was too weak to stop Moore during the Republican primary, and now they are faced with a historic crisis. Republican weakness got them sexually assaulting pedophile as their Senate nominee, and that same lack of strength is why they are so desperate to get rid of Roy Moore today.
