Joe Biden took apart took apart Donald Trump’s defense of Putin with criticizing him, or even using the President’s name.

Former vice president Biden was asked about Trump believing Putin’s claim that Russia didn’t meddle in the election, and he answered, “I am reluctant to criticize the President when he is abroad, but I don’t believe Putin and there’s no good reason to believe Putin. In my view, I don’t think any objective person should believe Putin on this score, and when I said that Putin his response to me was that we understand one another. I wanted to make it clear to him that I understood where he was coming from, as long as he understood that I knew where he’s coming from, but I don’t believe Putin at all. They did meddle. He was responsible for it.”
When asked if Trump is being naive, all Biden would say is, “I don’t believe Putin.”
Biden never mentioned Trump’s name, but the contrast was obvious. Unlike Trump’s wishy-washy word salad smokescreen every time Russia comes up, the former vice president spoke cleanly, clearly, and directly about Russia and Putin. Joe Biden speaks like a true world and he projects American strength. He didn’t have to criticize Trump by name. He made his point loud and clear. Only a fool or a fellow soulless authoritarian would believe Putin when he says that he didn’t interfere in the 2016 election.
Biden also said in the interview that he hasn’t closed the door on running for president in 2020. If Joe Biden wins the Democratic nomination, no amount of help from Russia may be able to save Trump.
