Donald Trump is supposed to be serving the public, but he thinks that three UCLA basketball players should be thanking him for getting them out of an accusation that they stole sunglasses while in China.
Trump showed that he has no idea what public service means by tweeting:
The UCLA basketball players, LiAngelo Ball, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill, don’t have to thank Trump because the President took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. Traditionally, presidents have extended the oath to mean protecting and defending the citizens of the United States.

Trump doesn’t get thanks or praise for doing his job. The UCLA basketball players should not have to kiss the President’s ring. Trump is a dictator who intervened out of the kindness of his heart. The concept of public service is lost on this president.
The American people don’t work for Donald Trump. He is supposed to be working for the people.
The crying, whining, self-pity, and need for praise never stop with this president.
Instead of demanding thanks, Trump should learn a lesson about doing his job.
