Here is how crazy things have gotten in the Senate. Republicans are making changes to their tax cuts for the rich bill on the Senate floor in longhand with a pen. Even worse, they still won’t let the American people see the bill.
Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) tweeted:
So here’s one example of crazy-town tonight. Handwritten in the margins buried in the bill. Which we just got. Drawing is my editorial comment. pic.twitter.com/4jVu4cafbD

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) verified it:
Trying to review the #GOPTaxScam but they are making hand-written changes to brand new text as we speak – can anyone else read this? pic.twitter.com/JX8v1v4gyi

To make it even worse, Republicans then made more changes to the bill in pen on the Senate floor:
UPDATE: Senate Republicans are so desperate to pass their tax bill tonight that they're now making handwritten changes to their already handwritten changes…

This is not the way that good legislation gets passed. The tax cut for the rich is equivalent of backroom deal done on the back of a bar napkin. The whole process smells of corruption. Republicans are doing everything they can to get this bill passed, without ever letting you see it.
Senate Republicans are stabbing democracy in the back just to give millionaires and billionaires an unprecedented tax cut.
