Republicans kicked out of the House gallery that they were supposed to be representing so that they could pass tax cuts for their wealthy donors without interruption. This was a moment that captured all that is wrong with the Republican majority in Congress. Instead of listening to the people, they kicked them out.

The House passed the bill 227-203, but the rumbling sound coming from an enraged electorate can’t be ignored. House Republicans delivered for their donors today, but they will be the ones paying when voters go to the polls in less than a year.
