Trump said, “I think it’s terrible. You want to know the truth; I think it’s a disgrace what’s going on in this country. I think it’s a disgrace. The memo sent to Congress, it was declassified. Congress will do whatever they’re going to do, but I think it’s a disgrace what’s happening in our country. When you look at that, and you see that and so many other things, what’s going on, a lot of people should be ashamed of themselves and much worse than that. So I sent it over to Congress. They will do what they are going to do, whatever they do is fine. It was declassified and let’s see what happens. A lot of people should be ashamed. Thank you very much.”
Trump has no idea what he just declassified
Judging from the total lack of knowledge in Trump’s answer, it appears that he has no idea what is in the memo. It would surprise no one if he has never read, but had someone, probably Devin Nunes, explain it to him. It is dangerous for national security that Trump sounded absolutely clueless about the underlying intelligence that this document was based on.
The President Of The United States just declassified sensitive intelligence because he thinks that it will help to make the criminal investigation that he is a focus of go away. That is what this is all about.
The more Trump tries to cover up the scandal, the deeper the hole gets that he never be able to climb out of.
