Q Thanks, Sarah. Why haven’t we heard the President say exactly what you just said right there, that he takes domestic violence very seriously?
MS. SANDERS: I spoke with the President, and those are actually directly his words that he gave me.
Q But why hasn’t he said that? He had the opportunity. He’s, as you know, been active on Twitter.
MS. SANDERS: It’s my job to speak on behalf of the President. I spoke to him, and he relayed that message directly to me, and I’m relaying it directly to you.
That whole Trump defending Rob Porter thing and saying that he said that he was innocent and that he’s sad that Porter was fired never really happened because Sarah Sanders knows Trump’s real words because he tells her. Remember, this is a White House where the Press Secretary has had little to no day to day contact with Trump, so when these heartfelt conversations happen is anyone’s guess.
The White House is claiming that what the American people saw happen didn’t really happen. Donald Trump has never as a candidate or president defended women or spoken out in support of them and against domestic violence.
The defense of Rob Porter is who Trump really is, and that person is the reason why Americans around the country are mobilizing to vote Republicans and then this president out of office.
