Trump’s Nightmare Day Gets Worse As The John Kelly Cover-Up Unravels

Trump has had a terrible day as FBI Director Christopher Wray blew apart the White House’s cover story, and as the day goes on Kelly’s cover-up of the Rob Porter story is unraveling.

Here is MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace on how all of the White House lies on Porter are catching up to them:

Wallace said, “The old career officials did it excuse. But the problem for this white house is that they’ve now told so many contradictory stories that the fragments of inoperative narratives or lies hang out there like this description of John Kelly. ‘He took action to remove porter within 40 minutes of learning about abuse allegations from two ex-wives that they were credible.'”

A White House official told Axios, “Wray’s FBI timeline makes one thing clear: the Kelly coverup is unraveling right before our eyes.”

Trump’s bad day also included his own FBI Director praising the integrity of the people who are investigating him, and his own budget director telling Congress that if he was them, he wouldn’t vote for the Trump budget.

John Kelly remains Trump’s biggest problem

Trump’s big problem is his chief of staff, John Kelly. Trump doesn’t want to fire Kelly, but the Rob Porter scandal and the obvious cover-up have blown up in Trump’s face. The Rob Porter story isn’t going away until John Kelly goes away. Kelly tried to cover-up the scandal and made a horrible story even worse for the White House. Trump is having a nightmare day, and as long as John Kelly is still around, it’s only going to get worse.
