Showing no awareness that children and adults died in a horrific school shooting, Trump went to Parkland, Florida and posed for photo-ops where he smiled and gave thumbs up completely out of touch with the tragedy and suffering around him.
Here are the pictures that the White House posted to and on Trump’s Twitter account:
Trump is incapable of behaving like a human being
Previous presidents have shown the ability to comfort and be human after tragic events. No one will ever forget Barack Obama addressing the nation after Sandy Hook or George W. Bush standing on that pile of rubble at Ground Zero after 9/11, so this isn’t about partisan politics. Donald Trump cannot function as a human being.
Trump went to Parkland and staged a photo-op, but it wasn’t a photo-op of him looking serious and presidential. It was the same smile and pose that Trump gives at his political rallies or on the golf course. Donald Trump didn’t come to Parkland to offer healing or action. Trump swung by the mass shooting on his way to a weekend of golf at his Florida club. Trump could have posed for the same photos as he stopped by McDonald’s on the way to Mar-a-Lago.
There is nothing inside. Trump is an empty shell who managed to take a time of sadness and tragedy and added a layer of national disgust for a man who is a pretender president.
