Former Attorney General Eric Holder said that an obstruction of justice case against Trump already exists and the president is derelict in his duties by not protecting the United States from future Russian attacks.

When Bill Maher asked why Democrats don’t make treason an issue, Holder answered, “You technically have an obstruction of justice case that already exists. I’ve known Bob Mueller for twenty-thirty years, my guess is he is trying to make the case as best as he can. I think Tom Steyer is right; Trump isn’t derelict in his duties, we were attacked. It wasn’t a physical attack, it was an electronic attack on the most vital of our systems, and he has done absolutely nothing to prepare us for what is to come because they are still coming, they will come in 2018, they will come in 2020 and he has done nothing to hold the Russians accountable in spite of the fact in this dysfunctional world that we have passed sanctions that he has refused to implement. That for me is breathtaking, unforgivable and something the American people have to hold him responsible for.”

A consensus is building that if Trump hasn’t committed treason, he is dancing with a close relative of crimes against his own country. Holder did make a case for treason in his answer. America was cyber attacked by a foreign enemy to benefit Trump, and the President Of The United States has done nothing, but encourage and enable future attacks. If that is not treason, then at a minimum it is grounds for impeachment.
Unlike Jeff Sessions, Eric Holder is respected. Holder is not of cable news realm, so he isn’t in the business of hot takes or whipping up controversy. Many Americans still haven’t gotten their minds around the idea that Trump may have committed crimes against his own country. Treason would be difficult to prove, but depending on how bad the facts when they are revealed, it might be on the table.
