Accused pedophile Roy Moore, who lost the Alabama senatorial race in December to Democrat Doug Jones, is currently broke and asking his supporters to donate money to a legal defense fund to cover the expenses for a defamation lawsuit one of his accusers is pursuing against him.
In a Facebook post published Thursday, Moore said his resources have been “depleted” and that he’s “struggled to make ends meet” while paying legal fees and claimed that it could cost him upwards of $100,000 to defend himself in court.
“Gays, lesbians, and transgenders have joined forces with those who believe in abortion, sodomy, and destruction of all that we hold dear,” he wrote. “Unless we stand together we will lose our Country.”
He ended the lengthy post by writing, “The political Left is filled with men and women whose sole aim in life is to overthrow our God-ordained rights which are guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution. It is your responsibility and mine to stand up to this vile encroachment on our rights, and defend that for which the Founding Fathers sacrificed so greatly. Please send a generous gift today to the Roy Moore Legal Defense Fund to help me defeat, once and for all, those who would destroy America in order to usher in their anti-Christian ‘kingdom.’ May the Lord richly bless you as you stand with me in this critical fight!”
Moore’s defense fund was initially established in late January. In one month, it’s raised $32,235 out of its $250,000 goal.
Given that a GoFundMe campaign for one of his victims, whose home was suspiciously burned down after Moore lost the election, raised over $150,000 in just two days, Moore’s fundraising effort so far must be an extreme disappointment.
