Sarge: I’m Scott Sarge, President of Local 2227. I have a story about my father in the ’80s. He lost his job due to imports coming into this country. And I want to tell you what that does to a man with six kids is devastating. So I never forgot that looking into his eyes, in my household, what it does to a family. You hear about it, but when you’re involved and impacts you, it never leaves you. With that being said, your story did not end, and for all of the people that I represent in my union, I never want to see it happen again for these workers and these folks, I appreciate the opportunity, and I’m humbled with this, so it is very important to us. I never want to see it happen and I say that sincerely from my heart, and I thank you for the opportunity.

Trump: Your father, Herman is looking down.

Sarge: Oh, he’s still alive.

Trump: Oh, he is. Then he’s even more proud of. He’s even more proud.

This is what happens when Trump tries to interact with non-billionaires or human beings in general. It is always cringeworthy, and there is an 80% chance that some sort of gaffe, insult, or embarrassment is going to come out of his mouth. Trump was trying to rally his base and connect with the blue collar workers who the White House think support him, but all Trump demonstrated was that Donald Trump is completely out of touch with regular people and only hears what he wants to hear.
