Storm Clouds Are Gathering for Trump as Stormy Daniels Has Created a Whirlwind of Legal Problems

Donald Trump’s Stormy Daniels problem just won’t go away.  Even though he and his attorneys have tried to silence the former porn star, she just keeps talking about her famous affair with the president.

Here are the latest developments, which are giving Trump headaches and making Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders face the choice of either lying to the press or avoiding them altogether:

  1. It was announced that Daniels (a/k/a Stephanie Clifford) will be on the CBS television show “60 Minutes” which is one of the most-watched shows on TV.  Apparently, she will appear on the popular show at some future date but will not be on this Sunday’s broadcast. Anderson Cooper will conduct the interview. Her appearance on 60 Minutes where she would no doubt talk candidly about her sexual experiences with Trump would create a national sensation.  It would be the kind of publicity that even Donald Trump doesn’t want, and would take the country’s mind off his policy initiatives and supposed victories.
  2. Daniels has filed a civil suit against Trump and is trying to void a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) which prohibits her from talking about her sexual relationship with the president.  In addition to bad publicity, this lawsuit will expose Trump to legal liability such as he has never seen before.  If it voids the NDA then other Trump accusers may start speaking out candidly as well.
  3. Press Secretary Sanders on Wednesday accidentally spoke the truth when she said the president had won an arbitration ruling which tied Trump directly to the $130,000 payment made to Daniels by his personal attorney, Michael Cohen, to keep her quiet.  Now Trump is outraged at Sanders, adding to his personal problems and instability in the White House.
  4. A Republican-sponsored bill in Utah would name the Utah National Parks Highway after Trump. And now a Democrat has said that if this happened he would propose an amendment to name an adjacent road the “Stormy Daniels Rampway.”  Even though it’s not likely to pass in Utah, it creates more unwanted publicity.

For Trump, the storm clouds continue to gather and grow stronger, and they won’t be going away anytime soon.
